LRimesECibrian063012_03_X17crop230.jpgLeAnn Rimes has filed a lawsuit at the L.A. County Superior Court claiming two women, Kimberly Smiley and Lexi Smiley, secretly recorded a private conversation, and as a result, spread excerpts of that phone conversation across the internet.

In the lawsuit, claiming invasion of privacy, it states the following:

"With neither Ms. Rimes's knowledge nor consent, defendants secretly made a recording of a private telephone conversation with Ms. Rimes. They then conspired to spitefully ensure that out-of-context excerpts of that recording would be disseminated to the public on various websites and referenced in several online articles in an effort to portray Ms. Rimes in an egregriously false and negative light and cause her emotional distress."

According to court papers, the phone call took place this past Spring. During the conversation, Rimes was attempting to stop the ladies from continuing with negative activity by telling them she wanted peace.

However, the suit adds that by releasing excerpts from the conversation, the women were painting the country singer in a "false and negative light" ... calling her "crazy and delusional."
