Miley Cyrus Is Mature Beyond Her Years In Marie Claire

Miley Cyrus covers the September issue of Marie Claire, and the 19-year-old superstar wears everything from Tom Ford to D&G, and she even models a dress designed by Kanye West! Miley chats about putting the final touches on her upcoming fourth studio album and she also gives us the scoop on her engagement to longtime love Liam Hemsworth.

On her relationship with Liam, Miley says, "Life is too short not to be with the person you want to be with. I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other. And we want to have a long engagement."

Miley doesn't go into details about how he proposed, but she does dish about her 3.5-carat Neil Lane diamond ring he gave her earlier this year. "We’d been kind of talking about [getting engaged], and I saw something like it online at one point and thought it was really pretty, but I usually wear rose gold," she says, claiming that she had "no input" whatsoever on the sparkler. "I just love that it’s old and has a story. And I'm happy because it doesn’t look like anything else I wear.”

Miley gives off the impression that she doesn't care what anyone thinks or how she's portrayed in the media, but even she needs a place to relax, which she's found in the 8,000-square-foot Mediterranean-style villa she shares with her fiance. "It's kind of like a black hole," she says. "And no one is going to f*ck with me when P. Diddy lives right across the street."
