Director Tony Scott Commits Suicide By Jumping Off Of Los Angeles Bridge

Tony Scott committed suicide on Sunday when he jumped off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in San Pedro around 12:30pm, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Scott's body was pulled out of the water by LAPD, California Highway Patrol and U.S. Coast Guard officials, and several eyewitnesses saw him climb over a fence on the bridge and jump to his death.
Scott's body was recovered by divers around 4:30pm, and a suicide note was found in his Toyota Prius, which was parked on one of the eastbound lanes of the bridge.
Scott, who is the younger brother of director/producer Ridley Scott, directed movies like Top Gun, Days Of Thunder, Enemy of the State and Beverly Hills Cop II. He was 68 years old.
