kkardashian112112_01_230.jpgOn Wednesday, Kim Kardashian's divorce lawyer revealed that her client is unable to move on from estranged husband Kris Humphries but is still his legal wife due to the delay of their trial.

"Ms. Kardashian is now handcuffed to Kris Humphries," Laura Wasser told L.A. Superior Court judge Stephen Moloney on Wednesday. "These delays are forcing her to be married. She wants to dissolve her marriage so she can move on with her life. I don't think [Kris] has a case, it's a fishing expedition."

One of the reasons for the delay is due to Humphries' lawyers asking for more time to seek an annulment based on fraud. Humphries has claimed Kardashian "had no intent of being married" and that it was all "for the benefit of her TV show."

Moloney has told their respective attorneys to return to court in mid-February to set a trial date to either dissolve or annul the couple's 72-day marriage. Although no deadline has been set, he indicated that a trial could start early next year if everything's ready by Feb. 15.
