Jay-Z's 12th studio album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, will be released on July 4th.

The rapper announced the news during game 5 of the NBA Finals via a lengthy Samsung commercial. In the TV spot, Jay-Z is shown recording new tunes with Rick Rubin, Pharrell Williams and Timbaland ... check it out above!

"We don't have any rules, everybody is trying to figure it out," Beyonce's hubby says. "That's why the internet is like the Wild West. The Wild Wild West. We need to write the new rules."

"The album is about this duality," Jay continues. "Of how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success and through failures, and remain yourself?"
