Miguel may be facing some legal trouble following his Billboard Music Awards performance where he jumped off stage and accidentally landed on an audience member's head.

TMZ is reporting that the girl he accidentally kicked, Khyati Shah, may have suffered brain damage. The "Adorn" singer leapt over the crowd, fell short, and landed on Khyati's head during the May 19 show.

"Some of the difficulties she's experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury," Khyati's lawyer Vip Bhola told TMZ.

According to Vip, BMA organizers gave Khyati an ice pack after the accident instead of taking her to the hospital. He said she will decide whether to pursue a lawsuit when the test results from her neurologist come in next week.

The R&B crooner tweeted "got caught up in the moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay," immediately following the BMAs. Miguel was also interviewed with Khyati, who held an ice pack on her elbow, after the incident. He called her his "new friend."
