Does Paris Jackson Have A History Of Cutting?

Paris Jackson was rushed to West Hills Medical Center around 2am on Wednesday morning after reportedly cutting her wrist with a meat cleaver and taking a large quantity of Motrin, and it's been revealed that this is not the first time the late King of Pop's daughter has attempted suicide.

Various websites have posted the Instagram photo of Paris above and pointed out that she has what appears to be cut marks on her arm, and after looking through our own photo archive, we noticed several other photos where the 16-year-old has some sort of linear scar on her left forearm:



Paris wrote a suicide note, and after calling a suicide hotline, the person she spoke with called 911. Around 2am Paris was put on a stretcher and rushed to West Hills Medical Center, where she was placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours.

The news of Paris' suicide attempt is sad and shocking, but she's certainly not the first young starlet to have her struggles put out in the open. Demi Lovato has spoken candidly about overcoming depression and self harm. In the August issue of Self magazine, Lovato said, “There were times I felt so anxious, almost like I was crawling out of my skin, that if I didn’t do something physical to match the way I felt inside, I would explode. I cut myself to take my mind off that. I just didn’t care what happened. I had no fear.”

Demi also revealed in the new issue of Rolling Stone that she was suicidal at the age of seven. “The principal called my parents and made me sign this suicide contract saying that I would not kill myself. They weren’t expecting that so young,” she told the mag.
