Amanda Bynes' lawyer filed legal paperwork today asking a judge for an emergency hearing that would release her from the psych ward. Yesterday the judge approved a 2-week extension on the starlet's 5150 hold, but there will be a hearing at 2pm this afternoon at the hospital and Bynes will be present.

Bynes parents appeared in court this morning in an attempt to gain a temporary conservatorship over the daughter, but according to TMZ, the judge said there was "no need to rush things" because Bynes isn't going anywhere for 2 weeks.

A hearing for the conservatorship has been set for August 9, but before ruling on the matter, the judge says he wants a one-on-one with the 27-year-old actress, and he also wants more information from her doctors. Additionally, he wants the lawyer he appointed to represent Amanda to interview her and come up with a recommendation and he has asked to see the police file regarding the fire Bynes set in the driveway of a Thousand Oaks home.
