Recently Simon Cowell has been making headlines for all the wrong reasons. In an update to this developing story, Simon's pregnant lover Lauren Silverman, 36, agreed to a divorce settlement with her estranged husband Andrew Silverman on Wednesday. Now that Lauren is officially single, does that mean the silver-tongued Brit is going to make an honest woman out of his very own Hester Prynne?

Last month, real estate mogul Andrew Silverman filed for divorce after discovering his wife was pregnant by his one-time friend. Andrew cited The X Factor judge as a "co-respondent" for adultery in the court papers. It is believed Lauren is 10 weeks pregnant with Simon's baby.

The deal was agreed to in Manhattan, although both Lauren and Andrew, who were married in 2003 and have a 7-year-old son, were not together to sign it. Despite the accusations of adultery, Lauren is believed to have won half of her $4 million pre-nup.

Looks like still Instead of rocking a scarlet letter, Lauren will be taking her adultress' self all the way to the bank. It's just too bad things didn't work out quite so well for old Hester!

On Wednesday, Lauren’s attorneys, Robert Cohen and Bernard Clair, said, "The matter has been resolved and the parties have moved on."

Andrew also released a statement: "As I’ve said all along, my priority was resolving this quickly for the sake of our son.  Lauren and I both love him very much and I’m looking forward to starting a new chapter in our lives. Hopefully people will respect our family's privacy."
