Someone was in a good mood!

On Wednesday afternoon Reese Witherspoon left Whole Foods in Brentwood, and the Oscar winner couldn't stop smiling when she carried her grocery bags back to her car.

We'll see Reese back on the big screen in early 2014 for Devil's Knot, which follows the story of the West Memphis Three, and after that she'll appear in The Good Lie and Wild, which she's also producing.

On why she's getting more involved behind the scenes these days, Reese told Elle magazine earlier this fall, “I started noticing a couple years ago that I wasn’t seeing women as the stars of movies. I’m seeing them as the guys’ girlfriends, or so-and-so’s wife. I just thought: God, if I don’t start buckling down and start producing some movies, what’s my daughter going to see in the movies?” Good point!
