Hilary Duff recording studio Mike Comrie no ring

Hilary Duff was as cool as a cucumber when she hit the recording studio on Thursday afternoon, and we really have to hand it to the 26-year-old singer/actress for holding it together so well over the last few weeks.

After the news broke that Hil and hubby Mike Comrie were splitting after just three years of marriage, we've spotted her out numerous times with and without their son Luca, but she's always been in a good mood and super sweet with our photographers.

Hilary has been busy working on her new music, and last month when she appeared on Citytv Toronto’s Breakfast Television, she gave fans more deets on her upcoming album. “I think by spring I should have a single,” Hil said on the show. “The first six songs I’ve done have all been really dancey and upbeat, uplifting, happy stuff. So now I’m getting into the moody. It’s important to have that fine balance and show all your sides. It’s got a bit of an indie, dance feel.”

Last night Hil tweeted a pic of several hands and mini bottles of Fireball and wrote, "#tbt alll the way back to last night in the studio with @christianmedice & @mitchycollins a cinnamon treat after..."

She definitely didn't have cinnamon whiskey in the studio during her Disney days ... we're dying to hear some clips of her latest tunes!
