Does he want his wife back or is he moving on? We're soooo confused!

On Friday evening X17 photographers caught Robin Thicke in New York City, and not only was his wedding ring off, but he flashed us a quick smile before heading to his hotel. He can't be that broken up about his split from estranged wife Paula Patton, can he? Then again, he's spoken out about it numerous times during his Blurred Lines tour, and at his show in Atlantic City on Sunday, he went at it again.

According to E! News, a fan screamed out “I love Paula!,” to which Robin replied, “I do too.” Robin then reportedly gave an impromptu speech to the crowd and said, “Never stop believing and you never stop loving. And even if it is over, make sure you treat each other right. Treat your family right. Take care of your mom, take care of your kids and good things will come to you. Just keep believing that God is good. That's what gets me by. Sometimes when I get a little scared or worried about the future, I just try to stay positive and do my part to spread love and spread joy."

Prior to that Robin addressed his marital drama at a concert at the GMU Patriot Center in Washington, D.C. when he told the crowd, "I want everyone to know that I’m trying to get my girl back." However, Thicke hit up a strip club in Philadelphia on Wednesday evening after his concert, and before that he had dinner at the Capital Grille, and eyewitnesses there told a local news site that the singer wasn't wearing his wedding ring then either. Hmm ... wonder when he decided to take it off?

Last month the news broke that Thicke and Patton had decided to end their marriage after eight and a half years. "We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," Patton said in a statement.

Maybe that's why Paula pulled the plug on their marriage? He can't seem to commit to ANYTHING...
