On Tuesday Taylor Swift was snapped out and about in New York City, and the 24-year-old country starlet has had a lot on her schedule as of late!

Over the weekend Swift stopped by the Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in N.Y.C. to visit with young fans, and while she was only scheduled to spend an hour there, she ended up staying for nearly five. Swift, who was named the most charitable celeb of 2013, spent 20 minutes chatting with Shelby Huff, a young girl suffering from post-transplant lymphoproliferative disease.

Huff's mother released a sweet statement on the Facebook page for her daughter and wrote, "We are still in awe, Taylor Swift is a class act all around, she was so sweet, compassionate, asked US questions, got on skype with my other daughter, stayed in our room and talked with us and was completely down to earth. She hung out with us for at least 15-20 minutes. She was "scheduled" to be on our floor for 1 hour, but was here for 4.5 hours instead. Thank you Taylor, you are a beautiful woman inside and out!!"
