Justin Bieber LAX detained TAS Four Seasons

After a day from hell, Justin Bieber celebrated his return to U.S. soil on Thursday with a luxurious stay at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.

The pop star was detained by U.S. Customs for five hours at Los Angeles International Airport after a grueling 11-hour flight from Tokyo. After being released from questioning, Justin and his posse drove straight to the hotel.

The singer was held up after his Singapore Air flight when his passport was flagged for multiple legal issues. Justin was arrested for suspicion of DUI in Miami in January and charged with felony after allegedly egging a neighbor's home in Calabasas a few weeks before.

He was also accused of beating a limo driver outside a nightclub in Canada in December. He later turned himself in on an assault charge.

Back in November, Justin's private jet was searched by customs officials after the singer returned from South America. Additionally, Swedish police found what appeared to be marijuana in his tour bus when it was raided in April of 2013.

The mini-investigation comes after Justin was crucified for visiting a shrine in Tokyo honoring World War II criminals. He posted a photo of himself at the Yasukuni Shrine on Tuesday. Once he realized his mistake, he apologized on Instagram.

"While in Japan I asked my driver to pull over for which I saw a beautiful shrine. I was mislead to think the Shrines were only a place of prayer. To anyone I have offended I am extremely sorry. I love you China and I love you Japan," he wrote.
