Report: Selena Gomez Fires Mom And Step Dad As Her Managers

Selena Gomez is outta control!

Justin Bieber'son-again/off-again girlfriend has just pulled a career coup and fired her mom and her stepfather as her managers, reports TMZ.

The site reports that last month, the 21-year-old axed her mom Mandy and step dad Brian Teefey. The "Come and Get It" cut ties with her parental units, who have managed her since her Disney days, and relieved them of any duties related to managing career.

Reportedly Selena feels as though she has outgrown her parents, and that she's big enough to have a professional manager who handles other A-list celebrity clients.

Recently it seems like Selena's been having a bit of a career meltdown. There have been reports she has been carousing and drinking. The Spring Breakers star has also been at odds with her momager and stepdad about the direction of her career and her high-profile relationship with the Biebs. Even though TMZ says Selena's manager split was not about was not a result of family friction and that Selena remains close with both of her parents -- but we aren't buying that happy story.

It seems to us that Selena is spiraling downward, and didn't like that her parents had issues with her choices -- so she kicked their concerned butts to the curb. But what do we know -- we only report about this stuff for a living!

As for who Selena wants to fill her managers shoes -- she's apparently still looking for the perfect candidate.
