She's not always cranky and negative, you know!

On Wednesday night Lana Del Rey headed to the premiere of James Franco's new movie, Child of God at the Tribeca Grand Hotel in New York, and rather than brushing off the fans camped outside, she posed for photos with them and seemed totally pleasant with photographers too. Maybe she just had a few bad interviews over the last couple of months? Or is she doing damage control?

Lana chatted with The Guardian UK in June and famously proclaimed that she wished she was dead. When the interviewer told her not to say that, she countered, "But I do. I don't want to have to keep doing this. But I am. That's just how I feel. If it wasn't that way, then I wouldn't say it." She was slammed by many as being ungrateful, especially when she said mingling with her fans didn't make her truly love her job. Hey, everyone has their off days and we still love her music, so all is forgiven. At least temporarily...

But what's going on with Lana and James? The two have engaged in a pretty interesting flirtation on Instagram over the last few weeks, which seemingly started when James posted a screen shot from Lana's "Ride" music video and wrote that he was "obsessed." Lana and her sister Caroline then attended James' Broadway show Of Mice And Men, and he posted a photo of the trio together. We're not sure if James wants to work with Lana or bang her, but he certainly seems pretty infatuated with the singer!

And speaking of music videos, the new one for Lana's tune "Ultraviolence" hit the web today ... check it out below!
