Ben Affleck's back in town! Women of the west side, beware ... you may catch him at the Brentwood Country Mart grabbing coffee in the morning; you may spot him picking up his girls from karate; you may see him strolling in the village during Sunday's farmer's market and you MAY find yourself drooling, slightly, as you try to stop staring when he passes by.

Ben is looking beefier and more buff than ever and he didn't hold back in a somewhat small T-shirt and nicely-slim jeans, on Wednesday. Lest we forget, Ben's not only beefed up for his upcoming role in Batman but he said recently, he had to tone down his toned bod for his role in the newly-released Gone Girl: "I was trying to juggle this thing because that character is supposed to be out of shape, hungover and and puffy and I had to train ahead of time for that movie [Batman] for about a year," he said on the UK's ITV yesterday.

Ben's character, Nick Dunne, has a penchant for junk food and alcohol so the pulsating pecs and six pack didn't exactly match the role. Ben said of the physical challenge: "I was trying to build underneath without looking like it. That wouldn't look right to have some guy who is in great shape because all Nick Dunne does is eat junk food and drink bourbon."

We prefer the Batman Ben ... unless, of course, you're talking about 3D penises ... in which case Gone Girl sounds absolutely amazing!
