We've never seen Jen look so unkept before!

Jennifer Aniston is generating Oscar buzz for her role in the upcoming drama Cake, and we can see why! The actress plays a chronic pain sufferer whose life takes a turn when a friend from her support group, played by Anna Kendrick, commits suicide. The A-lister's character then becomes obsessed with learning about Kendrick's character's life and death.

The clip shows Jen A visiting doctors, picking up pills, and crying in her pain support group, and that's just the beginning of the dark storyline that might help her nab her first Academy Award.

So how did our favorite Friend transform herself from fab to frumpy? "I basically just didn't work out for two-and-a-half months. I stopped working out and I stopped being as careful about my diet as I normally am. I was still healthy, but I'd allow more," she explained during a recent Q&A for the flick.

We can't wait to see this! Cake hits theaters in January 2015.
