Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are scheduled to meet with the Pope in Rome in the next few days, according to Us Weekly.
The Hollywood supercouple will fly to Italy "for a VIP meet-and-greet at the Vatican with Pope Francis," and though the couple aren't known for being particularly religious, a source tells the mag they they "admire the Pope" and "like the Pope's message."
Pope Francis famously said in 2013, "If someone is gay and he searches for the Lord and has goodwill, who am I to judge?" and seeing as Brangelina are major supporters of equal rights, it makes sense that they'd want to connect. Heck, they even stated that they wouldn't tie the knot until gay marriage was legal -- and they certainly waited long time to get hitched!
Brad previously said that he doesn't have a "great relationship" with religion, and last we checked, Angelina proclaimed that she is an atheist. "There doesn’t need to be a God for me," she once said in an interview. "There’s something in people that’s spiritual, that’s godlike. I don’t feel like doing things just because people say things, but I also don’t really know if it’s better to just not believe in anything, either.â€
