Kim Kardashian and Kanye West jetted out of Los Angeles International Airport on Monday night and headed to New York City, and though Kim kept her clothes casual, she wore a pair of heels and a full face of makeup. When Kim isn't jet-setting around the world or snapping selfies, she's usually hitting the gym or filming her reality show, but that's not all she does! Every Christmas we snap Kim and her sisters visiting Children's Hospital L.A., and it seems like the starlet wants to spend more time volunteering with kids in need.

"My father passed away from cancer," she said in a recent interview. "I remember what it was like when my dad was going through it. You see the kids that are so strong. They feel so helpless. You want to do anything to help them." Kim brings around iTunes gift cards and beauty products, and she said, "We'll sit and paint our nails together." Just what every kid wants!

"They love to see their pictures on social media," she added, noting that she likes to take selfies with patients. So what made her want to get more involved? "You realize how hard it must be to be a parent to a child with an illness," Kim explained. "Your whole perspective changes."
