Ben Affleck is reportedly broken up that his marriage to Jennifer Garner is over, but some are saying it's not dunzo for the reasons you think. Many outlets are reporting that the Thirteen Going on Thirty star is divorcing Batman because of his drinking and gambling, but TMZ claims that the split happened because of his demanding career, alleging that Jen felt "neglected."

Three years ago, the couple nearly split and since have been attending regular couples therapy sessions, according to a source for Us Weekly. "They were going to divorce when Sam was born but you know how it is — baby comes and solves the issues for a bit but it's just a Band-Aid. It hasn't been working for ages," a source tells the mag.

Meanwhile publications are reporting that Ben is beside himself over the divorce.

"He's devastated. Nobody intends to go down this path," a source told People. "They both battled, and he really battled to try and save the marriage but ultimately it was the best thing for the kids and for him and Jen."

On Tuesday, Affleck, 42, and Garner, 43, said that they were calling it quits on their 10-year marriage. They have three children, Violet, 9, Seraphina, 6, and Samuel, 3, together.
