Brian Austin Green has officially filed for spousal support following his split from wife Megan Fox, according to TMZ.

In the documents filed on Tuesday, the former Beverly Hills, 90210 actor reportedly asked for financial assistance from Fox as well as joint custody of their two young sons. Both Fox and Green both filed for divorce on June 15.

Back in December, the couple was hit by a drunk driver in a head-on collision. The two did not seem physically injured at the time but the crash triggered BAG's Vertigo, which has impacts on one’s balance, often creating a spinning sensation for said person. The actor star has been unable to work full-time since the incident, which has led the actress to be the family's bread winner.

TMZ is reporting that that at times Green often can’t even get out of bed to work, and therefore there is a great financial disparity between that.

Uhh ... sorry, BAG, vertigo or no vertigo ... Megan Fox is a way bigger star, books more roles and of course makes more money!

The couple met when Green guest starred on Fox"s ABC sitcom Hope & Faith -- she was only 18 when they got together. In February 2009, Fox and Green called off their three-year engagement.

In 2009, she told the Us that she was too young to get married. “Marriage isn’t a realistic goal for someone who is 23.” But apparently 24 was just right for someone to tie the knot. One year later, Green re-proposed in June 2010. A mere 24 days later the couple was wed on the beach at the Four Seasons in Hawaii. The duo have Noah, 2, and Bodhi, 18 months. Green also has 13-year-old son Kassius from a previous relationship.
