Rhymefest, one of Kanye West’s longtime co-writers/collaborators, has quit working for the rapper.
On Friday Rhymefest took to his Twitter account to confirm that he stopped working for Yeezy last month, noting that Yeezy’s “mind and spirit isn’t right.â€
And that's not all -- Rhymefest added, “My brother needs help, in the form of counseling. Spiritual & mental. He should step away from the public & yesmen & heal.â€
Before debuting his new fashion collection at New York Fashion Week and dropping his new album, The Life of Pablo, Kanye went on a Twitter rant, defending father-in-law Caitlyn Jenner, slamming Taylor Swift and he also dropped the bomb that he owes millions. "I write this to you my brothers while still 53 million dollars in personal debt," Yeezy tweeted. "Please pray we overcome... This is my true heart..."
Rhymefest, who is based in Chicago, helped West write songs like “New Slaves†and “Jesus Walks."
