Mob Wives star Angela Raiola, aka "Big Ang," died on Thursday at the age of 55.

The show's producer Jennifer Graziano said the reality star died at at a hospital in NYC after losing her battle with cancer. In March 2015, the bigger-than-life personality was diagnosed with throat cancer, which spread to her brain and lung.

Family friend Vinnie Medugno confirmed her death on the "Mob Wives" star's official Twitter account by writing that she had, "peacefully ended her battle with cancer."

The statement also read, "YOU (Her fans) were some of the most special people in her world, and she loved you immensely," said the statement. "Thank you for your love, prayers, and unconditional support of Angela right to the end."

Several notable names tweeted their condolences after hearing the sad news. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Guidice wrote, "So sorry to hear about @biggangVH1 passing away. She was certainly one of a kind and such a beautiful person. Prayers for her &her family."

"Sorry to hear the news about #BigAng - she was a pisser - great laugh and a lot of fun. #RIPBigAng," wrote Andy Cohen.

Luann de Lesseps also wrote, "So sad to hear the fun and vibrant @biggangVH1 has lost her battle with cancer. #BigAng you will truly be missed."
