Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are husband and wife no longer! The actress, 29, filed for divorce from Captain Jack Sparrow, 52, on Monday, citing irreconcilable differences AND asking for spousal support, TMZ is reporting.

Depp's mother passed away just three days before the filing -- a filing which claims the pair separated only TWO DAYS after the death.

JD just made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel the same day the petition was filed, to promote his upcoming film Alice Through the Looking Glass, which opens on Friday.

The silver lining in all this bad news, is that the couple's relationship brought us this, their scripted apology mandated by an Australian magistrate, after Amber was nabbed on illegal dog importation charges when she brought her Yorkies into the country while Johnny was filming the latest installment of Pirates.
