On Thursday night, five police officers were shot and many others injured after an attack during a Black Lives Matters protest in Dallas Texas. The protest was a reaction to the shooting deaths earlier this week of a black man named Alton Sterling in Louisiana and a black man named Philandro Castile in Minnesota. Both men were shot and killed by police and as a result outrage has erupted aimed -- and it's aimed at law enforcment.
More information is still coming out of Texas, but celebrities are taking to social media to share their horror, anger, frustration and dismay over the increasing violence in the country.
Halle Berry posted a dreamy photo of her son Maceo, in which she asks, "What will my brown son's future be?"
Of course Berry isn't the only famous face disturbed by what is going on in the country. Blake Lively also posted a powerful message about violence. Comedian Kevin Hart posted that the news is "hurting his heart.†Shonda Rimes also tweeted about the violence, as did Rashida Jones and Demi Lovato. In addition, Chris Brown made asked celebrities to â€speak up right now and help people."
Why isn't anyone talking about gun control? Last night, a man with a high powered rifle committed a mass shooting. Again. GUN CONTROL.

The shooter does NOT have the same agenda as the peaceful protesters. He wants to start a war. Don't let him. We are better than this.

These Dallas shootings are horrific. Killing these officers is morally reprehensible and completely counterproductive to keeping us safe.

It is truly tragic when a vicious few turn a peaceful protest into a bloodbath. Horrific and sad. #nomoreviolence
