Lamar Odom walked out of an intervention in New York City, reports Extra.

The family of the former Los Angeles Lakers star organized the meeting, and several relatives were there to confront Lamar, including his aunt, JaNean Mercer; his kids; and his ex-wife Liza Morales. Lamar’s cousin Alvina Alston reportedly reached out to Darryl Strawberry, in an attempt to get Lamar on a plane to start rehab at the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center in St. Cloud, Florida. Addiction specialist Ron Dock, who is responsible for Darryl's recovery, was at the intervention, and Darryl reportedly joined in via Skype.

Extra reports that Lamar was "extremely surprised" and left the room, but he is still in New York. His family is "committed to helping him" and will continue trying to get him to a rehabilitation facility. After surviving a nearly fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel in October 2015, Lamar seemed to be on the mend, but earlier this month Lamar was reportedly removed from a Delta Airlines flight, after he was reportedly drunk and vomiting on board.

Here's to hoping he gets the help he needs!
