Adele is NOT playing the Super Bowl.

The big-voiced singer set the record straight during her show at Los Angeles' Staples Center on Saturday, August 14.

Despite rumors that the crooner would be lending her voice to the Super Bowl half-time show next February -- she took the opportunity to shut down all that talk.

The Brit told the crowd, “First of all, I’m not doing the Super Bowl." She added, “I mean, come on, that show is not about music. And I don’t really … I can’t dance or anything like that. They were very kind, they did ask me, but I did say no. I’m sorry. Maybe next time, for my next album, because I’m going to do a dance album next time. So maybe I’ll do it then.”

The 28-year-old songstress was talking about the Sun's report that the Super Bowl's “organizers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up.”

It sounds like they did everything that they could -- but Adele just wasn't feeling it -- and as much as we LOVE Adele when we watch the Super Bowl Half-Time show -- we don't really feel like crying about our ex boyfriends.
