Game Of Thrones Cleans Up At The 2016 Emmys
Posted on Sun Sep 18th, 2016 9:33pm PDT By X17 Staff
The 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards were held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles tonight, and Jimmy Fallon hosted the the star-studded event.
As usual, there were hits and misses in the fashion department (plus an awkward live edit featuring two of Taylor Swift's exes, John Mayer and Tom Hiddleston), and HBO's mega hit Game of Thrones took home one of the biggest prizes of the night -- and broke a record!
The show only won major three awards, but their total number of Emmy statuettes is now a whopping 38, which is the most ever for a primetime TV show. That's one more award than Frasier, and to make things even sweeter, the show won best drama series.
