Ray J shot to fame along with his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian when their sex tape was released, and in a new interview, he claims the XXX-video was all part of Kris Jenner's master plan to make her daughter a star.

"I only did my part [in making her famous]. As a man I tried to play my part in the situation. If you're intelligent you can read between the lines," he told Heat, adding that the momager was "a real, true hustler." You can say that again!

The Kardashians landed a $5 million settlement after suing the porn company that released the footage, and landed their family reality show shortly thereafter. The Love & Hip Hop star was worried about the fallout of his involvement with it, though.

"When it came out I was like 'damn I'm done.' Whatever my sister's invited to they're going to put in a note saying 'Don't bring RayJ," he added.

The K clan wouldn't be what they are today if Kimmy K didn't take one for the team... literally!
