Looks like Kim Kardashian will be flying solo at tonight's Met Gala honoring Commes des Garcons, as it is revealed hubby Kanye West will stay home in Los Angeles to be with the kids and will not attend the annual fashion event in New York, according to a new People magazine report. The mag's website is now saying the REAL reason he's missing the red carpet is because of the stress: "It was more about the stress and pressure of a big red carpet. He just wasn’t quite there yet," a source tells the mag.

Of course Kim won't be totally alone -- sisters Kendall and Kylie are in the Big Apple for the Gala -- but it's the first time Kim will attend without Kanye. The pair have been a fixture on the annual red carpet since 2016. But since his breakdown in October, Kanye's been staying out of the spotlight. The magazine's source says West's absence has nothing to do with anything other than a desire to keep his life a little slower-paced and to keep quite: "He’s still very much enjoying his time off from public events. He’ll be staying back in L.A. with their kids. Everything is great with him and Kim and he’s supportive of her going solo.”
