They desperately want a little one.

Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden are trying their best to get pregnant, Us Weekly reports.

"[They] would love to have a baby, and it just hasn’t worked out. It’s been a long, hard struggle with many ups and downs. Cameron would love more than anything to be a mom,” a source dished to the mag, noting that the couple had tried everything from IVF to acupuncture in an effort to conceive.

Through the hardships, the pair has only strengthened their bond.

"Benji hasn’t gone through what Cameron has physically, but he always lets her know this is their struggle and they’re in it together. He would do anything for her," the source added.

If they can't have a biological child of their own, they're open to other avenues to expand their family.

"They don’t know exactly what it will look like, whether it will be natural or through adoption or surrogacy, but they aren’t giving up. It’s been a roller coaster of emotions, yet they still believe there will be a happy ending," the insider revealed.

The actress and the rocker dated for just eight months before tying the knot in January 2015.
