Gerard Butler showed off his arms in a black tank top while relaxing with friends at Cafe De La Plage, a Malibu hot spot where the 56-year-old actor attracted plenty of attention during Tuesday's outing.

Butler appeared more than happy to stop and chat with several female fans who approached him, taking time to interact with admirers while enjoying a laid-back afternoon with his pals.

The 300 star was also spotted triple-fisting beverages for his friends, apparently taking on bartender duties for the group before later switching gears to fill up a dog bowl.

Ever the social butterfly, Butler couldn't resist the urge to chat up yet another group of female admirers.

Butler has also been open about the changes he's made to keep himself in shape between demanding movie roles. The actor recently revealed that giving up alcohol was a key change, making it easier for him to stay on track with his eating and training.

During intense film shoots, Butler said he typically eats four to five smaller meals built around chicken or fish, vegetables, fresh fruit, nuts, oatmeal and brown rice, while also increasing his water intake.

Judging by his Malibu outing, Butler seems to be enjoying the occasional break from the training grind — even if he's still putting those arms on display.
