Vince Vaughn is currently promoting True Detective, but after his interview with British GQ hit the web, no one is talking about the HBO show -- it's all about some controversial comments the star made about guns!

When asked about his thoughts on the Second Amendment, Vaughn said:

"I support people having a gun in public full stop, not just in your home. We don't have the right to bear arms because of burglars; we have the right to bear arms to resist the supreme power of a corrupt and abusive government. It's not about duck hunting; it's about the ability of the individual. It's the same reason we have freedom of speech. It's well known that the greatest defense against an intruder is the sound of a gun hammer being pulled back."

But the star took it one step further when asked about firearms in schools:

"All these gun shootings that have gone down in America since 1950, only one or maybe two have happened in non-gun-free zones. Take mass shootings. They've only happened in places that don't allow guns. These people are sick in the head and are going to kill innocent people. They are looking to slaughter defenseless human beings. They do not want confrontation ... In all of our schools it is illegal to have guns on campus, so again and again these guys go and shoot up these f*cking schools because they know there are no guns there. They are monsters killing 6-year-olds."

Vaughn continued, "You think the politicians that run my country and your country don't have guns in the schools their kids go to? They do. And we should be allowed the same rights. Banning guns is like banning forks in an attempt to stop making people fat. Taking away guns, taking away drugs, the booze, it won't rid the world of criminality."

So, what do some of his colleagues in Hollywood have to say about these remarks? While a number of headlines made Vince's quotes sound a bit worse than they really are, a handful of celebs have expressed their outrage over the interview.

Judd Apatow:

"32,000 people die in the U.S. every year as a result of guns. To say we shouldn't find ways to lower that number is ridiculous.

Piers Morgan:

"'Banning guns is like banning forks in an attempt to stop making people fat' - Vince Vaughn, proving it's not just his movies that are dumb. 32,000 people killed by guns in America a year - and Vince Vaughn's answer is to flood the place with yet more guns. Unbelievable. The only answer to drownings is more water. #vincevaughnlogic The only way to stop terrible movies is to produce even more terrible movies. #vincevaughnlogic."

Iggy Azalea got the surprise of her life when NBA boyfriend Nick Young dropped down on one knee and asked her to marry him at his 30th birthday party on Monday, and her new yellow diamond rock is completely insane!

Party guest Karen Civil captured the happy moment in an Instagram video, and it's pretty much the cutest thing we've ever seen. "Swaggy P celebrated his birthday tonight by popping the question to his girlfriend Iggy!" she captioned the clip. The Australian rapper slipped on her new bauble, which her man designed himself with the help of jeweler Jason of Beverly Hills, and the whole crowd cheered!

"Nick was very involved in designing the ring. We wanted it to be both a ring of Iggy's dreams and a ring that fit her personal style. It is always an honor when a client trusts me to help design a ring that symbolizes one of the most important decisions of their life," Jason Arasheben, CEO of Jason of Beverly Hills told Us Weekly.

The "Fancy" songstress shared the the big moment with her fans, and had a sweet message for her new fiancé! "Happiest Day #Isaidyes. Love you @swaggyp1," she captioned a photo of the pair after the proposal.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West know how to make good headlines. Just a day after news broke that Kimbo was pregnant with baby No. 2, the two hit the red carpet at the 2015 CFDA Fashion Awards at Alice Tully Hall in the Lincoln Center on Monday night.

While pregnnat Kim was clearly trying to steal the show, reporters couldn't help but ask about Caitlyn Jenner's big Vanity Fair reveal earlier in the day.

"This is Caitlyn's moment and it's her time to express herself and just be herself, and that's really what life is about," the Keeping Up with the Kardashians told Extra on the red carpet on Monday night.

For the awards, Kim wore a see-through and studded Proenza Schouler gown, compelete with feathers and daring peep holes. Kanye went for a dark and stormy all-black ensemble.

In addition to Kim and Kanye dazzling us all at glittering awards, Gigi Hadid, who wore a fab gold Michael Kors jumpsuit, and Bella Hadid, who wore a plunging black number, definitely grabbed our attention. The two gorgeous gals lit up the red carpet as well as shined at the awards show's after party hosted by Refinery29. Even Joe Jonas wanted in on the sexy sisters! Who could blame him?!

Caitlyn Jenner broke the internet with her Vanity Fair cover yesterday, and her transformation has been so incredible she even caught one of her stepkids off guard!

Kim Kardashian attended the CDFA Fashion Awards on Monday night, and she was happy to chat about Caitlyn's big debut. But get this -- Kim, who just announced that she's expecting her second child with hubby Kanye West, revealed that her brother Rob had no idea who Caitlyn was!

Kim told Access Hollywood:

"It was so funny because all the girls, we knew that Caitlyn was shooting this but my brother had no idea. So I sent it on a mass text to everyone and my brother was on it and he goes, 'Kim, why are you sending me this? Who is this woman? And why do I care?' And I was like, 'Rob, that's Bruce! That's Caitlyn!' And he was like, 'Oh my god, she's beautiful!' And then he called her and they had a lovefest and it was so cute. But the moment was so funny."

Kim already tweeted her congrats to Caitlyn, and she had more words of support for her stepmom. "This is Caitlyn's moment and it's her time to express herself and just be herself, and that's really what life is about," she added to Extra. "She just wants to help people that don't feel comfortable in their own skin, just to be confident in who they are."

Caitlyn's mom Esther told Access Hollywood, "She's beautiful! [Caitlyn] is… so much more at ease." But it doesn't look like she's quite ready to say goodbye to her son. "I still have to call him Bruce," she added. "His father and I named him that. It's going to be a struggle for me to get used to the change, but happily so… I'm very happy for him – or her!"

Caitlyn, who has now amassed over $2 million Twitter followers, had more thoughts on her transition. She told VF contributing editor Buzz Bissinger:

"It's funny, my mother, my mom, she has not met Caitlyn yet. We’ve talked on the phone, she is coming down... In about a week and a half... I’m sending a plane to go pick her up, and my sister, because she’s 89 years old and cannot get on the airlines, but she has to come down and, you know, we have to do this. For my mom I’ll send a plane. What I told her, 'Isn’t Caitlyn a much better friend?' Bruce, he would never send a plane. No, no, no, what a jerk the guy was, okay, Caitlyn is like, 'Send the plane. Mom, we’re sending a plane, we’re going to go pick you up and bring you down here'... It seems like she has a lot more friends than he ever had."

Caitlyn continued:

"I’m just going to go live life, I’m going to go enjoy life. I have nothing left to hide. I am kind of a free person, a free soul. [Up] to this point I would wear, you know, Bruce would wear, you know, sweatshirts with hoods on them so paparazzi can’t get pictures and all that kind of crap, and I didn’t want them to see if my fingernails were polished or, you know, on and on and on. It was just hell. To be able to wake up in the morning, be yourself, get dressed, get ready to go out, and just be like a normal person. That’s a wonderful feeling to go through life. I’ve never been able to do that; it’s always been confusion, it’s always been, you know, I’ve got one side [with] boy clothes, the other side’s women’s clothes. It’s like I cleaned the whole closet out -- the boys stuff is gone."

So what do other folks have to say about Caitlyn saying goodbye to Bruce and coming out to the world? Though the showbiz community has been overwhelmingly supportive (fellow trans star Laverne Cox penned a thoughtful note on Tumblr), last night Drake Bell (we actually forget why he's famous) ruffled feathers when he tweeted, "Sorry…still calling you Bruce." After receiving a number of angry responses, the actor then added, "I’m not dissing him! I just don’t want to forget his legacy! He is the greatest athlete of all time! Chill out! Calm down children."

We simply cannot keep track of the revolving door of ladies who are willing to hook up with Justin Bieber at the drop of a hat! And apparently, neither can the security guards at Bieber's favorite Los Angeles haunts!

On Monday night the Biebs brought number one bae Hailey Baldwin to The Nice Guy in Hollywood, and the 21-year-old pop superstar was joined by Cody Simpson and Madison Beer at the venue for an impromptu gig. Bieber has been performing at a number of small spots in Los Angeles over the last few weeks, so we're happy to see him back on stage.

But back to Hailey! After parading new fling Jayde Pierce around last week while Hailey was out of town, it seems like he's heating things back up with his favorite Baldwin. But he failed to let security know, because when the leggy model tried to hop in the car with her beau, club security mistook Hailey for a fan and shouted, "What are you doing?!" before finally letting her in the car. Oops!

Misunderstandings aside, it looks like the crew had a blast though:

Caitlyn Jenner, who shed her former persona Bruce in a bombshell Vanity Fair spread released this morning, is every inch the stunner in these newly leaked photos, and we almost can't believe that she was able to keep her feminine self under wraps for so long, because her as a woman seems so much more fitting!

In one image, the former Olympian dons a sexy red dress with matching lips while sitting in her sports car, and in another she shows off her new breast implants while lounging in her dressing room. We bet Kris Jenner is none too pleased that her ex is hotter than she is now!

Another person that is probably not so pleased? Stepdaughter Kim Kardashian! Although we have no doubt that she's supportive of her stepdad, her pregnancy news got massively overshadowed by this reveal!

We were all for Caitlyn transitioning, but we really didn't expect her too look quite this glamorous! Nobody is going to care about keeping up with the Kardashians when we can now Keep Up With Caitlyn!

Bruce Jenner gave the world what they've been waiting for by shedding his male persona and revealing his true female self as Caitlyn Jenner on the cover of the newest issue of Vanity Fair, and we have to say she looks so much happier than the Olympian ever did as a man. The 65-year-old showed off her new physique in a white bodysuit, and she definitely just made history in the classiest way possible!

"The last few days of doing this shoot was about my life, and who I am as a person. It's not about the fan fare, it's not about people cheering in the stadium, and it's not about going down the street and people giving you the 'that a boy, Bruce' pat on the back. This is about your life. Bruce always had to tell a lie. He was always living that lie. Every day, you always had a secret, from morning until night. Caitlyn doesn't have any secrets. As soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I'm free," she explained to the mag.

“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life'," she added.

The Biebs makes the most of his flights!

Justin Bieber is a filthy rich mega star, so naturally he can do whatever he pleases! This time, JB decided to pull some tricks on his $1800 Hawk skateboard while on his private jet, and he chose to spin around and jokingly plant a smooch on his bodyguard Mikey Arana!

"I'm not gay but even if I was that's not an insult," he captioned the video. We all know that the Canadian crooner loves the ladies, but apparently he's not shy with his affection for all the closest people in his life.

The "Boyfriend" crooner has been making headlines the past few days, with rumors swirling that he will join The Voice as a coach next season. "This last season of The Voice had its finale be the least rated ever and Mark Burnett has taken notice. He wants to mix it up to get ratings up and get younger viewers to watch the show. The first thing the producers plan to do is change up the judging line-up, and the source says that “one of the seats the show wants to fill is [with] Justin Bieber," a show source dished to Hollywood Life.

Also, the chart topper's upcoming album isn't set to drop until December, but fans got a preview of his new song with Kehlani when his producer pal Khalil posted a clip of the tune to Snapchat, which was quickly uploaded to YouTube.
