Much to native New Yorkers' dismay, the singer, whose album 1989 dropped yesterday, was just named New York City's Welcome Ambassador for Tourism. The 24-year-old told Good Morning America, "I'm so enthusiastic about this city that I feel like, when I love something, I'm very vocal about it, I'm vocal about it with my music."

In regards to her fifth album, Tay said, "Without a doubt this is the best thing I've ever done."

According to Billboard, the album is projected to sell 1 million copies this week. Not bad, girly!

Our photog on the scene said that Kerr was acting all sorts of nervous, "She was definitely sneaking around. She was driven there, and was hiding in the passenger seat of her car the whole ride and then tried to hide when she got out of her car. Once Steve Bing saw us, he acted really nervous and made an effort not to be seen with her. These two definitely didn't want to be photographed together."

This secretive meetup doesn't seem like the behavior of two people who are "just friends"! It's possible that Kerr and Packer have parted ways -- but why else would the supermodel being hiding?

We think the whole thing seems pretty suspect. Kerr has been dating Packer, who is richest person in Australia and has an estimated net worth of $7.9 billion, for a number of months. But on Saturday, joined playboy Leonardo DiCaprio and a bunch of scantily clad women at Nobu in Malibu. After enjoying a Halloween-themed dinner at the trendy eatery, the crew climbed into DiCaprio and Packer's car and continued their night at Hollywood nightclub, Blue Collar. We don't know about Miranda, but we definitely wouldn't want our man hanging around those girls!

After an epic fight it appears as though, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are headed for splitsville. The two were reportedly en route to the Saving SPOT! animal charity fundraiser in Santa Monica on Sunday, when they got into a battle of words and cancelled on the event last minute.

The duo "were in the car on the way, when they had an epic fight" and "ended up turning around," reports the New York Post.

The source told the newspaper that, "Reporters were told they were on their way, until the head of the charity informed everyone at the end of the event that they weren’t going to make it due to "logistics.'"

But the daytime talk show host and the Arrested Development actress are shooting down the reports saying in a statement, "We were happy to lend our names as honorary chairs and the organization was always aware that we would be unable to attend.

We think it's a bit odd they would say they would attend when the charity put out a flier with their faces on it, inviting guests to join the power couple at the daytime soiree. But the couple is also claiming that they did not approve the images, adding, "This is the first time we have seen our images attached to the invite. It was not approved and it is misleading."

Ellen's lawyer Marty Singer also refuted the claim in a statement, saying, "The story is a complete lie. My client told the organizer they never agreed nor planned to attend the event. There was no fight that caused them not to attend."

Sounds like a lot of refuting to us! With the recent reports of the constant feuding between the couple -- we have to believe that the blondes are just trying to save face in the media. Sounds like it's only a matter of time before these two officially bite the dust ...

"He got me this purse and it was really pretty painted and then my computer was open next to the gift and I was trying to figure out why it was there. And I press play and it was a video of her [North] actually painting it. She spent hours getting paint all over herself and painting this purse and he captured it all.
