This year's theme is White Tie and Decorations, which doesn't make much sense, but apparently it celebrates the "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" exhibition. Vogue magazine's beauty director, Sarah Brown, told E! Online, "[It's] high class affair. This year it's all about a return to formality."

Last year's theme was punk, but rather than going more in the experimental zone, male attendees will be required to wear “full evening dress and decorations,” also known as “white tie." Guess the stricter dress code was the reason Madonna decided not to go this year...

On Monday afternoon Kim Kardashian and BFF Jonathan Cheban went shopping in New York City, and across town Kanye West was spotted stepping out of his car and hitting up some stores as well. Not only are they busy planning for their wedding later this month, but we're guessing they're throwing together a few last minute things for tonight's Met Gala.

Last year Kim wore a floral gown designed by Riccardo Tisci, and she received a lot of flack for her choice. Some critics said she looked like a couch (the print was pretty bad, but seeing as she was 8 months preggers, that was kinda mean), and others slammed her for not sticking to that year's punk theme. Kim might never snag her own invite, but this will be the second year she's attending the event, and after that Vogue cover, it certainly seems like she's on better terms with Anna Wintour!

So what can we expect this year? Vogue magazine's beauty director, Sarah Brown, told E! Online, "A high class affair. This year it's all about a return to formality." Brown continued, "Charles James is called the 'Great American Couturier.' He's a little-known designer who was massively important in the ‘30s, ‘40s, ‘50s, and on into the ‘70s. He had incredible admirers among Christian Dior, Cristobal Balenciaga, James Galanos, but a lot of people didn't know him here at home. He dressed some of the most beautiful women of the day: Millicent Rogers, Babe Paley—the fashion icons. They were all his couture clients. He was known for incredible drapery. His clothes are very sculptural, architectural. He cared about draping. He cared about the seam. He would spend weeks on the single drape of one sleeve. He was really a perfectionist." Hmm, can't wait to see Kimye's interpretation of this!

And of course, as soon as she landed in the Big Apple, Kim just had to post the Instagram video below, which is set to the tune of "New York State of Mind." But rather than showing her love for the city, the video seems pretty centered on Kim. Surprising, huh?

Just in case you forgot how terrible Madonna is: this happened. Hey, Internet powers that be, can we just block Madge from Instagram for forever? No one needs to see this.

Right before the famed 2014 Met Gala on Monday afternoon, the "Like a Prayer" songstress posted a photo on her Instagram account of a woman's torso (presumably her own) wrapped in bandages with a banner that reads "CENSORED" across her nipples. Okay we get it, Madge, you're just sooooo edgy!

The Material Lady captioned the pic: "What i wanted to wear to Met Ball but Anna said Not this year! So I'm gonna work on music instead? #artforfreedom."

OH MY GOSH MADONNA YOU ARE SO ARTISTIC! YOU'VE GOT ART PUMPING THROUGH YOUR SINEWY VEINS! HOW DID YOU THINK OF SUCH A GROUND-BREAKING IDEA?! BECAUSE WE'VE DEFINITELY NEVER SEEN YOUR BOOBS BEFORE!

Umm can you tell we think this whole "censored" boob thing is pretty lame? 'Cause it is.

And it looks like Vogue's dragon lady wasn't feeling this "look" either. We love that Wintour put her foot down on this ridiculous excuse for an "outfit." Daring is one thing -- but this shiz is just dumb. Athletic tape plus fun bags does not an outfit make!

While we think it's possible Wintour said no to the 55-year-old's delightful frock because tape around one's body isn't fashion -- maybe she's just sick of seeing Madonna's tits. Just like the rest of us.

At this rate when she turns 70, Madonna's just going to be walking the Met red carpet in nothing but a merkin and wearing a see-through cone bra, tatas everywhere as she references her former glory days, well past her prime. Ya know -- 'cause it's artsy.

We aren't sure what's worse: Madonna's intended outfit or the Met Gala's vague, "White Tie and Decoration" theme? We vote for both.

Sexy lady Nicole Scherzinger and her boyfriend, racecar driver Lewis Hamilton, looked lucky in love when they spent some time hanging out in Malibu. For the outing, the 29-year-old racer escorted his lady love in a 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake, which is valued at $5.5 million. Uhh that's quite the hefty price tag for a car! Who new race-car driving paid so well?!

Hamilton was dressed up in a Hawaiian shirt, while Nicole wore a sun hat with a floral dress. The duo looked all geared up for the Cali heat with their breezy ensembles!

The singer was on-trend with nude strap heels and added a chic white sun hat to her look.The singer finished off the look with gold bangles, a few rings and gold-rimmed sunglasses.

Despite making up and breaking up several times, the pair looked happy as can be as they walked hand in hand in the upscale beach community. Since reconciling for the third time at the end of 2013, Scherzinger and Hamilton appear to still be going strong.

Hamilton is often dubbed, "the first black driver in Formula One", and is also the first driver of African heritage to win a major race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in any discipline. Pretty impressive!

Megan Fox appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, and the 27-year-old starlet chats all about her family and her upcoming flick, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. But what happens when you mix work with being a few months pregnant? Lucky for us, Megan explains!

Megan tells Ellen, “I got pregnant with Bodhi two weeks into filming Ninja Turtles, which is an action movie and requires a lot of running and jumping and stunts and so I spent the entire…anyone that’s been pregnant know your first trimester can be pretty rough and you’re nauseous all day long. So I spent the whole shoot basically, the producers would come see me in the morning in the makeup trailer and I would be clinging to a box of saltines and we had, we kept pickles in the refrigerator for me and I was just constantly on the verge of vomiting."

Before that Megan showed off the adooooorable photos above of her sons Noah, 19 months, and Bodhi, 2 months and she revealed that Bodhi wasn't planned and neither was Noah. "I mean, we can't let Brian near me anymore," she joked.
