The controversial documentary about alleged child molestation at the hands of pop icon Michael Jackson has gotten no shortage of headlines ... and Michael's family is pissed.
The pop star and his family always maintained the gloved one's innocence and even after his death, the family is still fighting to clear his name.
The documentary Leaving Neverland includes interviews with various of Michael's alleged victims and it got a hugely positive reception at the Sundance Film Festival last week, despite a few protestors outside, challenging the film's claims.
Diehard Jackson fans took to icy Main Street in Park City to demonstrate against the film and police were there to keep them in check. One protestor, Catherine Van Tighem, told Variety: "This film is not about giving a voice to a victim,. The people that are featured in this film have already had their day in court and they have been legally denied. They were seeking financial gain and the case was dismissed … if Michael were alive today, this film would be considered defamation."
The four-hour film focuses on alleged victims Wade Robson and James Safechuck. The controversial part is that Robson testified under oath that he was never abused and then changed his story in a 2016 lawsuit. Jackson was accused of molestation in a 2005 trial but was acquitted. He died of a fentanyl overdose in 2009.
So as hype around the doc builds, the family, Monday morning, released a statement through their publicist:
Michael Jackson is our brother and son. We are furious that the media, who without a shred of proof or single piece of physical evidence, chose to believe the word of two admitted liars over the word of hundreds of families and friends around the world who spent time with Michael, many at Neverland, and experienced his legendary kindness and global generosity. We are proud of what Michael Jackson stands for.
People have always loved to go after Michael. He was an easy target because he was unique. But Michael was subjected to a thorough investigation which included a surprise raid of Neverland and other properties as well as a jury trial where Michael was found to be COMPLETELY INNOCENT. There has never been one piece of proof of anything. Yet the media is eager to believe these lies.
Michael always turned the other cheek, and we have always turned the other cheek when people have gone after members of our family - that is the Jackson way. But we can’t just stand by while this public lynching goes on, and the vulture tweeters and others who never met Michael go after him. Michael is not here to defend himself, otherwise these allegations would not have been made.
The creators of this film were not interested in the truth. They never interviewed a single solitary soul who knew Michael except the two perjurers and their families. That is not journalism, and it’s not fair, yet the media are perpetuating these stories.
But the truth is on our side. Go do your research about these opportunists. The facts don’t lie, people do. Michael Jackson was and always will be 100% innocent of these false allegations.

Apparently Bravo producer Andy Cohen forgot to stick a stamp on his invite to RHONJ's Danielle Staub because she never got it!
After much back-and-forth -- Danielle was already in LA but without an invite, RHOBH star Kyle Richards was hosting the baby shower at Beverly Hills hotspot The Palms and maybe didn't want Danielle there???, but Andy personally called Staub to invite her once he realized there'd been a mishap with the invite and now ... Danielle says it's all good.
When Staub first realized she was in LA without an invite, her rep told Page Six: "Danielle came to Los Angeles to film a video promotion for the movie ‘Greta.’ While she was here, there was a misunderstanding regarding the baby shower. There’s no issue or drama, Danielle is fine and life goes on.†her rep, Steve Honig said.

Shiloh's got a new pet!
The eldest girl,12, of the Jolie-Pitt tribe picked up a little bird with mom Angelina Jolie, on Saturday at Petco. As mall as the tiny thing was, Angelina's assistant lugged a massive birdcage in a box to the car and LOTS of bird food and accessories. How much could this chirper really need?!
Angie wore her usual all-black look with knee-high leather boots, looking slender as always. Shiloh wore her favorite cargo shorts and bulky black sneakers with a grey hoodie -- her hair cropped short.
Just the day before, we spotted Angelina at a four-hour meeting with ex Brad Pitt and the former couple's attorneys. Clearly despite a custody agreement being reached in early December, they're still hammering things out regarding their divorce and sharing time with their six kids. Hope they can work things out and stop fighting!

Bow down!
A Kanye West super-fan surprised his idol Friday afternoon at a Calabasas office center following a design meeting Ye was having with some young hipsters ... the dude literally laid down on his stomach on the sidewalk and kissed the ground Kanye walked on! All while playing some random music on a portable speaker and saying a whole bunch of indecipherable stuff to Ye.
Kanye was all smiles as he watched the spectacle, despite probably not having a great day, otherwise. Yesterday saw a leak of The Game's new single in which he talks about F-ing Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian in a very graphic way. And at the same time, West was filing a lawsuit against former BFF Jay Z's record label Roc-A-Fella and its parent label EMI for money he claims is owed due to "contract extensions." No dollar amount was defined in the suit. AND, Kanye was the recipient of a lawsuit himself this week, from a Japanese fabric manufacturer who claims Yeezy Fashion, LLC owes them just over 600K.
And on top of it all, he had time to get a throw-back haircut with lines shaved in his head, which looks RAD! It's been a busy week!

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will NEVER be finished negotiating the terms of their divorce and custody of their six kids, it seems. We spotted the actor headed into his attorney's Beverly Hills office yesterday for a meeting with Angie that ended up lasting FOUR HOURS.
We saw Jolie's black SUV speed out of the parking garage after the long negotiations, presumably over custody arrangements for Pax, Maddox, Shiloh, Zahara, and the twins Vivienne and Knox. Back at the beginning of December, Angelina's lawyer release a statement saying the parties had come to a permanent and final agreement regarding custody: "The agreement, which is based on the recommendations of the child custody evaluator, eliminates the need for a trial. The filing and details of the agreement are confidential to protect the best interests of the children."
Clearly, though, something's going on if the two sides need to continue to meet for four hours ...

Why a late-night trip to the dermatologist? And what are they hiding?
Model Kendall Jenner who claims she's eschewed all plastic surgery and injections, hid her face as she went to the "dermatologist" at 8pm Friday night! Kourtney Kardashian didn't want to be seen either -- she wore a shocking t-shirt reading "start f-ing" and slid her way into the medical building elevator for the midnight makeover.
The chic Beverly Hills office stayed open after-hours for the private 2-hour treatment session. Of course any doctor will stay open late for the Kardashians ... with all the business they get from the family!

Baaahhhhh!!! The Game is THROWING DOWN! And for no particular reason, it seems!
The rapper is a long-time friend of the Kardashian clan and sometimes-F buddy, apparently. The Shade Room just posted some video of a listening session for the unreleased track and you can hear the lyrics: "I held Kim Kardashian by her throat, n—ga / I made her swallow my kids until she choke, n—ga / I should apologize ’cause ‘Ye is my folks, n—ga."
Daaaayum! Bro is PUSHING IT! Kanye is gonna be super pissed and we're surprised he hasn't responded already but we're pretty damn sure it's coming!
This isn't the first time The Game has revealed some sex secrets regarding the Kardashians ... back in 2016 on The Wendy Williams Show, he commented on his lyric from the track "Sauce," in which he claimed to have "f'ed three Kardashians." He said, "You know what, this is what I’ll say. I’ll tell you this. Kanye is a really good friend of mine,†he told Williams about allegedly sleeping with Kim, 38. “And they got really, really beautiful kids, and I don’t want to disrespect their family."
So why is he coming straight out and saying it now?! We KNOW the second Kardashian is Khloe and the third? Well the Game basically admitted it was Angela Kardashian -- aka Blac Chyna.
Dude's got some serious game (hence the name) ... but is he breaking Bro Code? He sure is!
We're not quite sure which we dislike more -- Khloe's horribly long fingernails or her cap ... but we're pretty sure her "Kanye For President" is WAY WORSE!
The troubled Kardashian must be letting her depression over Tristan Thompson drama get to her because she's becoming as delusional as Kanye! In no universe, under no situation, in no reality should Kanye West run for president in 2020 or 2024 ... why would he?
Khloe's clearly pushing some MAJOR political buttons by wearing the cap; we just hope it's all a joke. Khlo used to be the smart, level-headed Kardashian, but we're starting to wonder. Kanye still seems fairly serious about a possible presidential bid. Last September he was Tweeting about running and then just after midnight on January 1st, he Tweeted the below. And we'd just like to point out (see the comments) that some people actually think Kim Kardashian would make a great First Lady (okay, so maybe she would be better than Melania, but who wouldn't?) and one fan jokingly calls for Kid Cudi as VP :)
