The EE British Academy revealed the nominees for the 2014 BAFTA Awards on Wednesday, and Gravity, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, led the pack with 11 nominations. The motion picture was nominated for Best Film, Leading Actress, Outstanding British Film, Best Director, Original Screenplay, Original Music, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design and Sound and Special Visual Effects. Whew!

12 Years a Slave and American Hustle each earned ten nominations, and Captain Phillips earned nine. All three of those films, along with Philomena, are vying for the Best Film honor.

The awards ceremony will be held at London’s Royal Opera House on February 16.

"I'd like to thank my own family, who was incredibly encouraging at 5 a.m. out the door in the morning in the dark," he said to the audience. "And you were incredibly encouraging coming home at 8 p.m. each night. I know I wasn't that easy to live with at that time. You never let me know that, I appreciate it."

Katy Perry and John Mayer have reportedly organized a spur-of-the moment Hawaiian vacay for their friends and family, and according to Life & Style, the lovebirds just "flew about 12 of their closest friends to Hawai. They wanted it to be very special, so they flew them on a private plane.”

We find it odd that this would be happening after the holidays, unless of course the duo have something more than a relaxing retreat planned! The source tells the mag, “John is usually so private so the fact that he flew all his friends in to be with them was very special. John and Katy greeted all of them with huge smiles and hugs and told them she wanted each one of them with her and John in Hawaii and that she loved them all.”

The mag's source added that "it wouldn’t shock those close to the couple if they surprised friends and family with a secret island wedding." But just 12 people? You'd think the couple would have more people than that in attendance if they were tying the knot. Stay tuned...

While Hilary has been back in the recording studio (her first single is reportedly slated for a spring 2014 release), she's also looking to expand her family at some point in the near future. “I think we definitely want to have more kids,” she told People mag last August. “Maybe I’m a two-kid, three-kid kind of gal.”

However, last November the former Disney darling slammed reports that she was preggers with her second child, tweeting, "I love that I do an interview & people ask if I want more kids.. I say yes. Not now though and all of a sudden I’m ‘trying’ for a girl. WHAT? It’s ridiculous….The only baby I’m working on is my album."
