It looks like something good may actually come out of the disaster that is The Lone Ranger.

After interacting with the Native American people, Johnny Depp wants to buy the historic landmark Wounded Knee to give back to the original owners. The actor immersed himself in Indian culture while preparing for the role of Tonto, the Native American sidekick of the fictional Lone Ranger in his latest film.

The Oscar nominee wants to purchase the historic property because of the significance it holds for the Sioux culture. The national landmark's price tag of $3.9 million is a steal for the multi-millianire.

"I am doing my best to make that happen," he told The Daily Mail. "It's land they were pushed on to and then they were massacred there. It really saddens me."

Wounded Knee Creek on the Lakota Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota is the site where the last major battle of the American Indian Wars was fought. Almost 150 tribesmen, women, and children were killed. At least 20 American soldiers were awarded the Medal of Honor for their roles in the battle.

The Lone Ranger production was blessed by the Navajo and the Comanche. Johnny said Comanche activist LaDonna Harris wanted to "adopt" him into his family and the Comanche nation. Unfortunately, the good vibes didn't extend to the box office or film reviews. The movie, which was panned by critics, has only earned $57.7 million. At this rate, it's expected to lose $150 to $200 million.

In the new trailer for Lilo's upcoming film The Canyons, a dark tale of sexual obsession and Hollywood ambition, the A-lister-turned-fallen star plays Tara, who is seen on a downward spiral -- disrobing, scantily clad and eventually filming a sex tape with porn star James Deen. And now that the new trailer is finally out, you can feast your eyes on all that D-lister ridiculousness!

The film, written by Bret Easton Ellis and directed by Paul Schrader, weaves the tale of "a young LA trust-fund kid with casual ties to movie making and his girlfriend, a once aspiring actress/model-turned-plaything. When Christian learns of a secret affair between Tara and the lead of his film (Nolan Gerard Funk), he spirals out of control and his cruel mind games escalate into an act of bloody violence. "

Sounds like a real hoot! Okay so -- LiLo has a lot of sex with a bunch of randos, basically sells her soul for a piece of fame and then there are disastrous consequences? Looks a lot like art imitating life if you ask us!

The dubstep-infused trailer opens with barrage of defunct movie theaters and Lindsay's deep voice, dramatically asking her voyeurs, “So tell me something, do you really like movies? Like really, really like movies?”

Umm no, Lindsay, not if you are in them -- unless we need a good laugh.

While the movie looks all sorts of horrible, Lindsay does look better than you’d think -- so umm ... maybe there is an upside to this movie’s existence? Okay maybe not. The Canyons is due out in theaters Aug. 2. Get excited.

Kaley stepped out to dinner in West Hollywood on Wednesday without her new beau Man of Steel star Henry Cavill. The Big Bang Theory hottie headed to Cecconi's with two of her gal pals, including Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky. One of her friends, Ashley, almost took a tumble when her sky-high heels got stuck in the cobblestone. Kaley grabbed onto her arm to keep her vertical, but couldn't help laugh at the near disaster.

Unlike her clumsy gal pal, Kaley dressed down in heel-less boots, jeans, a plain white tee, and a fitted blue blazer for the occasion. She looked fresh-faced and fabulous without a hint of makeup. It looks like the Man of Steel knows hot to pick em'!

Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez are set to wed in the South of France this weekend, reports claim. The couple is expecting their first child together next fall, but apparently they couldn't wait till after the birth to walk down the aisle!

The actress and her beau have been dating since 2010 and became engaged in January 2012.

The French actor happily stepped in as a father figure to the Oscar winner's daughter Nahla after the pair met on the set of their movie Dark Tide.

Although the Cloud Atlas star professed she would never get married again following her divorce from second husband Eric Benet in 2005, Martinez's dedication to her little girl ultimately changed her mind.

"Who knew? I swore [marriage] off, right? Never say never, people!" the 46-year-old proclaimed after news of her engagement broke.

Britney Spears is red hot, yet seemingly innocent in the "Ooh La La" video for The Smurfs 2 soundtrack. Brit-Brit made the shoot a family affair, appearing in the mostly animated video with her two adorable boys.

In the opening, she sits between Preston and Jayden in a movie theater watching The Smurfs 2 before getting zapped into the colorful Smurf Village, where she dances alongside her miniature blue friends in a mini red dress.

The mother of two said she chose to record a song for the film's soundtrack with her six and seven-year-old in mind.

"They're obsessed with the smurfs," Britney told Ryan Seacrest on 102.7 KIIS FM a few weeks ago. "We've seen The Smurfs movie a million trillion times and they were told they could be in the video and all this cool stuff, so that's the reason why I did it."

She also told the American Idol judge that her kids were pros during the filming. They didn't even require her supervision. The boys shot several scenes while Britney got her hair and makeup done.

"They were actually really, really good on set," she said. "They were, like, acting and my oldest son Preston was right on cue every time they would tell him to do something."

It looks like the singer might have two little thespians on her hands.

In his latest act of recklessness, Justin Bieber was videotaped urinating in public then verbally attacking former U.S. President Bill Clinton. A video that leaked online on Wednesday, which was shot earlier this year, shows Biebs peeing in a restaurant mop bucket as his posse laughs in the background. The pop sensation then proceeds to spray a framed photo of Clinton with cleaning liquid while shouting "f**k Bill Clinton!" before walking up the restaurant steps.

Justin and his friends, who seem to be intoxicated, were reportedly leaving a nightclub by exiting through a restaurant kitchen when the Biebs had the uncontrollable urge to wiz.

The teen apologized to Clinton on Wednesday. Following their conversation, he took to Twitter to sing the former president's praises. "thanks for taking the time to talk Mr. President. Your words meant alot. #greatguy," he wrote.

According to E! News, Clinton said something along the lines of "if that is the worst thing you have ever done, all is well." He also allegedly told the singer to focus on bettering the world and to keep an eye on his entourage, one of whom is said to have leaked the footage.

Justin reportedly pledged to donate to the Clinton Global Initiative. At least someone will be benefiting from the ordeal.

Update: Speaking of choosing his entourage wisely, Justin's BFF, rapper Lil Twist, was arrested early Thursday morning on suspicion of DUI after speeding in Justin's all-chrome Fisker Karma electric car in Calabasas, Calif.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's department spokesperson Steve Whitmore told MTV.com that Twist was driving between 60 and 70 m.p.h. in a 30 m.p.h. construction zone. He then ran a red light. Officers smelled marijuana in the car and arrested the Young Money MC on suspicion of DUI.

Regis Philbin and wife Joy grabbed dinner at Craig's in West Hollywood last night, and the talk show host couldn't have looked happier as he left the restaurant arm-in-arm with his wife Joy. We couldn't help but notice how much his love of 43 years looks like his old co-star Kathy Lee Gifford!

The vetran talk show has a new gig coming up! The 81-year-old is hosting Crowd Goes Wild, a live round table sports show on Fox Sports 1 cable network.

"I'm happy to be part of sports TV. If you look at the ratings, that's what's on top. Sports is the biggest hit TV has these days. It's all there on the field, pal," he explained when the news was announced.
