Glambert is a gleek!

Adam Lambert has been confirmed as the newest cast member on the upcoming fifth season of Glee, show creator Ryan Murphy announced on Twitter.

"I am thrilled to announce that the super talented Adam Lambert is joining the cast of Glee this fall," he tweeted to his 500,000 followers.

The American Idol alum retweeted Murphy's news with the caption, "I'm so excited!! ;)"

It is still unclear what role the singer will play, and whether he will be a recurring guest star or a regular cast member.

Current stars Heather Morris, Amber Riley, Mark Salling, and Harry Shum Jr. will not be returning to the show, so it looks like Mr. Lambert was brought in to spice things up!

On Wednesday afternoon Rach took son Skyler to the park in Malibu, and the usually poked faced celeb stylist lit up when she watched her darling little boy cruise around the playground.

Jay-Z made a surprise appearance at Pace Gallery in Manhattan, and the rapper reportedly performed “Picasso Baby,” for a group of lucky fans for six straight hours while cameras rolled. The footage will be used for the track’s music video, and those lucky enough to be on the guest list included various members of the art and media community and a few folks with 40/40 club membership.

Entertainment Weekly chatted with a few of the dancers at the shoot, and they didn’t even know that they were working on a Jay-Z video until earlier in the day. Judd Apatow, Girls star Adam Driver and rapper Wale were among those at Pace yesterday afternoon, and several Vine and YouTube videos have popped up online, including the one below:

Busy Philipps and husband Marc Silverstein have named their baby daughter Cricket Pearl, the star's rep has confirmed. Busy has a pretty unique name herself, so are we really that surprised?

The couple welcomed their second little girl on July 2, and just yesterday the 34-year-old Cougar Town actress stepped out in Hollywood. "Everyone is healthy and happy," her rep said last week, noting that the infant weighed in at just over 8 pounds.

Back in December Phillipps tweeted, "So this happened..." with a photo of a positive pregnancy test, and on July 3 she wrote the same thing again with a picture of little Cricket sleeping on her chest.

Phillips and Silverstein also have a 4-year-old daughter, Birdie Leigh.

Nicole Richie chatted with Extra's Mario Lopez at the Grove in West Hollywood on Wednesday, and the 31-year-old reformed party girl showed off her skinny frame ... and a series of silly faces when she taped the segment.

Nic tweeted, "I think I'll spend my afternoon Cabbage Patchin' with Mario Lopez," and she discussed her new(ish) web series Candidly Nicole and her life at home. We're not loving her striped pants, but the show is pretty awesome!

On Wednesday afternoon Kanye West tooled around town in Kim Kardashian's Mercedes SUV, and the rapper is still clearly very upset about his "Black Skinhead" music video leaking online last night. Kanye angrily jabbered away on his cell phone, and we're guessing he left Kim and Nori behind at Kris Jenner's Calabasas pad just so he could vent to a pal. Yeezy does it!

When the news broke that the controversial vid had been released before it was finished, Kanye tweeted, "Me and Nick Knight have been working on this video for 5 months and for creatives it's heartbreaking when something like this happens. The final version will be ready within the next week. So any website that may have the unapproved / unfinished ruff. I ask you to please take it down. Allow me and Nick to give the world what we've been losing sleep over. And to who ever leaked the video … F*K YOU!"

Glad to see he's watching himself around the street signs though -- wouldn't want him to bang his head again!

Penelope is undeniably mom Kourtney Kardashian's little princess.

The mother-daughter duo ran errands in Calabasas on Wednesday. Penelope looked like a little angel in a white dress and her signature headband, while Kourt was retro in a striped white and blue crop top, brown drawstring pants, straw flats, and cat-eye sunglasses.

Kourtney's little tot is getting big! Penelope turned one on Monday, promoting a flurry of Twitter birthday wishes from the Kardashian-Jenner clan, including aunts Kim, Khloe, Kylie, and Kendall. In fact, new mom Kim broke her relative social media silence to write, "Hope my little Peep had the best 1st birthday today."

Speaking of growing up, Kourtney's three-year-old Mason will be attending preschool this fall. Kourtney and Khloe scoped out a private school in Sherman Oaks on Tuesday.

The eldest Kardashian has had a busy few days. She jetted to Las Vegas to surprise beau Scott Disick as he hosted the Sapphire Pool and Day Club on Saturday. It's nice to see that the parents of two are scheduling some alone time together.

Jessica Alba stopped by the studio today in L.A., and the actress kept it comfy but still looked amazing in baggy sweats, a T-shirt, and a fedora. With a body like that, the mother-of-two could wear a paper bag and still look stunning!

The brunette beauty has been hard at work promoting her new book The Honest Life: Living Naturally and True to You, but we wish she would get back on the big screen!
