The studio heads can't be too happy about this!

Jim Carrey took to his Twitter account yesterday to criticize the excessive use of violence in his upcoming movie Kick-Ass 2 and explain how he's had a change of heart since filming wrapped and the horrific Sandy Hook massacre happened last December.

"I did Kickass a month b4 Sandy Hook and now in all good conscience I cannot support that level of violence. I meant to say my apologies to others involved with the film. I am not ashamed of it but recent events have caused a change in my heart," he wrote to his 10.8 million followers.

The funnyman stars as the violent Colonel Stars & Stripes in the flick. The character is a Christian vigilante who teams up with a hero and a hit girl to take out criminals. The movie is an adaptation of a comic book, and creator Mark Millar posted a message to his own website after Carrey's comments were made public.

"As you may know, Jim is a passionate advocate of gun control, and I respect both his politics and his opinion, but I'm baffled by this sudden announcement as nothing seen in this picture wasn't in the screenplay eighteen months ago. Yes, the body count is very high, but a movie called Kick-Ass 2 has to do what it says on the tin," Millar wrote in defense of the film's subject matter.

It would have been better if the Ace Ventura star just kept his mouth shut!

Over the weekend Emma Roberts got testy with a photographer, and the funny thing was, he was taking pictures of Francesca Eastwood -- not Emma. Ouch! Maybe Ems thought she was a little bit higher up on the B list?

When the photographer tells Emma that he wasn't bothering her, she got flustered and called the guy a "d***" ... check out the video to see Emma's tantrum.

Kelly Rutherford just filed for bankruptcy, citing a mere $23,937 in assets and a whopping $2,021,832 in debts!

The Gossip Girl actress claimed a monthly income of $1,279, which is a far cry from the $486,000 she was making while her hit show was still on air.

The source of the her financial woes? Her bitter custody battle with ex-husband Daniel Giersch, who was given custody of their two children and allowed to move them to France permanently despite their mother being based in the U.S. The mother-of-two spent more than $1.5 million on legal fees in her attempt to regain custody of son Hermes and daughter Helena.

Now this is the Johnny Depp we know and love.

The actor, who has ditched his long, dirty locks for a short, clean-cut 'do, channeled his younger self during Saturday's world premiere of his new film The Lone Ranger. Depp, who plays Tonto in the film, and Armie Hammer, who plays the title character, were joined on the red carpet at Anaheim's California Adventure Park by Julianne Hough, Emma Roberts, and Andy Garcia. Stilt walkers, jugglers, and Disney classic characters also lined the red carpet.



Depp's ex-fiance Vanessa Paradis was noticeably absent from the premiere. The actor separated from his partner of 14 years and the mother of his two children last year. He recently opened up to Rolling Stone about his “bumpy” split from Vanessa. "It wasn't easy on her. It wasn't easy on me. It wasn't easy on the kids," he told the mag.

Johnny said he's successfully broken his old habits of turning to alcohol to drown out his sorrows. He reportedly drank heavily after breaking his engagements with exes Kate Moss and Winona Ryder.

"In terms of the breakup, I definitely wasn't going to rely on the drink to ease things or cushion the blow or cushion the situation. 'Cause that could have been fatal. I felt it was my duty to be real clear throughout that. I had something pretty serious to focus on, really, which was making sure that my kids were gonna be cool."

Jessica Alba and hubby Cash Warren landed at LAX on Sunday, but it looks like their ride wasn't quite ready, so the 32-year-old actress toyed around on her phone for several minutes before.

Jessicash were in the Big Apple to fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez's wedding, and she tweeted all sorts of adorable photos from the bash. "#Love #Narciso ThomasWedding #Beautiful #Life #PorVida ... My heart @narciso_rodriguez and the lovely Thomas #perfect #Couple #truelove xoxo," she wrote.

James Gandolfini's body is being flown from Italy to the United States and will arrive in New York City tonight, family spokesman Michael Kobold told reporters yesterday at Rome's Boscolo Exedra Hotel, where The Sopranos star suffered a heart on Wednesday.

The actor's funeral will take place this Thursday at 10 a.m. at Manhattan's Cathedral of St. John the Divine, according to Us Weekly.

Kobold read a statement yesterday thanking Italian authorities, the United States government, United Airlines, and HBO for their support and for expediting the process of flying the actor's body to the States.

"On behalf of the Gandolfini family, I would like to thank the Italian authorities for all the assistance they have rendered in expediting the formalities necessary to repatriate James Gandolfini's remains to the United States," he said. "We are fully aware that this process usually takes seven days and we are extremely grateful for their efficiency in dealing with this matter."

The legendary actor's 13-year-old son, Michael, found him collapsed in his hotel room bathroom, Gandolfini's manager, Mark Armstrong, told Reuters in an email. The three-time Emmy-winner had been vacationing in Rome and was scheduled to attend the closing of the Taormina Film Festival in Sicily last Saturday to receive an award.

Michael alerted Boscolo Exedra Roma hotel staff about the emergency. Paramedics then attempted in vain to revive the actor en route to the Policlinico Umberto I hospital. Doctors tried to resuscitate Gandolfini for almost an hour at the hospital before declaring him dead.

"The resuscitation maneuvers, including heart massage, continued for 40 minutes and then, seeing no electric activity from the heart, this was interrupted and we declared Gandolfini dead," Dr. Claudio Modini told Reuters.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter North "Nori" West was born five weeks early, and a source tells Us Weekly that the infant girl weight just 4 pounds, 15 ounces at birth. "She's tiny and perfect," an insider tells the mag. "She looks just like Kim -- with her dark hair and some of her features."

The first source says "Kim is breastfeeding," and that "the baby is healthy." The second insider added that "Kim was scared" during the delivery, but "doctors [assured] her that even though the baby was early, she was ready."

Kim and little Nori left the hospital last Friday with Kanye, and a family friend added, "They are both so in love with their little girl."

Katie Holmes took daughter Suri and a friend to the park in New York City, on Sunday. And we can't help but notice, little Suri's found a way to hide from the paparazzi, behind her stuffed animals -- awww!

The trio were bedecked in their finest summer dresses, headed to the park for some fresh air.

Recent reports have claimed Katie is frustrated at her inability to book good acting gigs, while her dating life is also on hold. Despite rumors Katie was dating her Mania Days costar Luke Kirby, recent reports have said they're just friends. And after her Broadway play Dead Accounts closed almost immediately after it opened last winter, Holmes hasn't been able to get the A-list roles she wants.
