Jenny McCarthy got all dolled up in a navy pencil skirt and black blouse to chat with Mario Lopez for Extra at The Grove today, and the blonde beauty was in such a good mood she gave us a wave on her way in!

The newly crowned VH1 talk show host is working the entertainment show circuit, and among many other topics, the scathing comments made about her actress cousin Melissa McCarthy were brought up in discussions.

Film critic Rex Reed called the Identity Thief star a "humongous creep" and a "female hippo" in his review, and her blonde bombshell relative is coming to her defense.

"When you have talent, you have talent. People shouldn't personally attack anyone who's in front of the camera. Judge the work, but not the way someone looks," McCarthy told Access Hollywood.

Jenny claims she was also pigeonholed into a certain stereotype by Hollywood.

"When I first moved out here, I really made a point that said, 'OK, I'm going to use my image to get in the door, but I have to use my brain to keep it going. It took a lot more than my implants to keep me going," she confessed.

After snapping Joaquin Phoenix and his Master co-star Amy Adams at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday evening, we caught Jennifer Lawrence and Jennifer Garner exiting the terminal as well. The ladies (along with a slew of other stars) attended the BAFTAs the previous night, and we'll be seeing them all dolled up in less than two weeks at the Oscars.

But where was Jen's hubby Ben Affleck? Maybe he was staying a few extra days in the UK and sending Jen home to tend to their 3 kids?

"She couldn't be more excited!" a source reveals to People.

The Sopranos actress and her baseball player beau recently announced their engagement on Twitter after a year of dating, so 2013 is shaping up to be an eventful time for the couple!

"Jamie can't wait to be a mom," the source adds.

No wedding date has been set, and the pair have yet to comment on whether their nuptials will take place before or after the birth. This will be the first child for both.

The Bride Wars star had the honor of presenting designer Stella McCartney with the award for Best International Designer. So whose style does the blonde beauty admire other than Paul McCartney's daughter? "I've been lucky enough to meet Angelica Huston, there's something about her and her whole career - there's something so consistent with what she is and how she presents herself," she told Daily Mail.

That's quite the odd style icon, but then again Kate isn't your average girl!

"It's turned up, amplified, maximized, screaming, shouting -- I never thought that a remix could be this freaking crazy. Remixes have always been important, but this one -- it's so freaking fresh that we had to do a video for it. Usually a remix just comes and it's a part of the initial but, this one needed a freaking video."

Taylor Swift was snapped shooting the music video for her new single "22" in Malibu on Monday afternoon, and the country cutie rode around in a shopping cart with her gal pals pushing her. Looks like fun!

On Sunday night, after her circus-themed performance at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, Taylor tweeted a photo of her cat and wrote, “Video shoot early tomorrow, so my Grammy after-party situation looks like………"

Nothing wrong with getting to bed early or snuggling with your kitty, but what about her love life? Taylor covers the new issue of Elle Magazine, and while she may be a cat lady, don't call her crazy! "I don't think I've ever yelled at an ex-boyfriend," she said. "Ever. I'm not a yeller.
