Jessica Simpson will star in a television pilot inspired by her life, according to Deadline.

Fashion Star producer Ben Silverman, who is helping with the pilot, said in a statement, "Jessica Simpson is truly a modern-day Lucy with incredible comedic chops. From running a fashion empire to wrangling her public image as a new mom, we see Jessica’s character approach a variety of ‘everyday’ circumstances that will get audiences laughing out loud.”

Jess got her start on the hit reality series Newlyweds, and after dabbling in film (remember her bod in The Dukes Of Hazzard?!), she became a judge on Fashion Star, a reality competition series. This would be her first time starring on a scripted show.

Jessica added, “I am so excited to work with Ben and NBC again, this time on a scripted comedy. I often find myself thinking that no one could ever make up the things that actually happen in my life — so between the real-life elements and a great team of writers, I think we’ll have people laughing!”

Robin and Nick Bakay are the developers of the project, which was ordered by NBC.

A pregnant and fuller-faced Kim Kardashian joined sister Kourtney for an appearance on The Today Show to chat about the upcoming season of Kourtney and Kim Take Miami ... and her baby with beau Kanye West.

The 32-year-old reality star, who admits to fertility issues, says pregnancy "was a pleasant surprise when so many doctors were telling me one thing and then the opposite happens. That’s an exciting moment, you can plan for things like that. So I think it's just such a blessing knowing my circumstances."

Kardashian is due in July. As for how she'll handle babysitting issues, she joked about a conversation she had with her sister. Kim adds:

"(Kourtney) said that in the old days, and maybe we should try this ... one sister should babysit all the kids ... so I can go out out or vice-versa and, you know, whichever sister is babysitting should breastfeed all the kids that are there," said Kim.
Kourtney insisted that her words were twisted in the translation. "I said, that's what they did back in the day. I didn't say that let's try this."

Kim mentions briefly that her divorce from Kris Humphries is still ongoing and "it's happening, hopefully."

The Colombian bombshell's fans were tricked into thinking she gave birth last month, when her soccer player beau played a "Dia de Los Inocentes" prank, which is the equivalent of April Fools Day in the U.S.

"Our son is already born! We are very happy! Thank you for all your messages! He already has a name! His name is Innocence! Happy Day of the Innocents!" he tweeted Dec. 28.

The Latina pop princess has been hard at work gearing up for her judging duties on The Voice, so she's going to be one busy mama when her little bundle makes his big debut!

Lance Armstrong sat down with Oprah Winfrey for her show Oprah's Next Chapter to discuss his controversial cycling career and drug allegations. Winfrey calls it "the biggest interview I've ever done."

When asked if Armstrong, 41, admitted that he used performance enhancing drugs, Winfrey adds, "I would say he didn't come clean in the manner I expected. He was just ready. . . He had certainly prepared himself for this moment."

Just yesterday, the AP reported that Armstrong gave an "emotional" apology to his Livestrong staffers before taping the Oprah interview.

The International Cycling Union, which chose not to appeal the USADA's lifetime ban, stripped Armstrong of his record seven Tour victories.

The interview will air Thursday, January 17.

Nicki Minaj is ready to show just why she was chosen as a judge on this season of American Idol.

The bootylicious babe stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show to chat about fellow judge Mariah Carey and their rumored fued.

As for how the fighting allegedly began, Ms. Minaj tells Ellen:

"I don’t know. It was just two big old divas, I guess.  I was just like sitting there.  and I guess before I went in there I heard all the stuff that was being said but I didn’t believe it.  I heard them saying Mariah doesn’t want you on the panel but I was like, no. I am friends with Mariah.  I was like arguing people down. Like, don’t believe everything you read, you’re crazy. And so I went there and I started to feel a bit of the shade. And I just kind of over compensated by being crazier."

Nicki is also sharing the panel with Keith Urban. She describes her current relationship with Mariah with the following:
 

"We’re fine. I cannot hold a grudge against Mariah Carey.  What people don’t understand is that I’ve looked up to her for so many years. Since she came out, “Vision of Love” all that. Me and my Mother would sing her songs like all day and all night."

The 47-year-old actor was accompanied by fiance Halle Berry for the trip where he also embraced his inner child, making playful faces with her darling 4-year-old daughter. Looks like they're getting along just fine!
