Lindsay Lohan was on her way to rehab even before today's early morning hit-and-run incident, a source tells X17online exclusively.

The actress, 26, and her "assistant," Gavin Doyle, have been tearing up the town in New York and club kids on the scene are even calling the pair Bonnie and Clyde, our source says.

"They've been out every night and rumors are flying everywhere that they're going to check in to rehab together," we're told.

Our source goes on to say that Lindsay and Gavin were planning on checking in sometime within the next week. Perhaps this latest incident will cause them to move up their timeline?

Reports now claim Lindsay's breath smelled like alcohol at the scene of this 2:30am incident, though police did not give the actress a Breathalyzer test.

Lindsay's dad Michael tells us: "I'm happy she is now away from 'other people' and NOT drinking."

Linds has already been to rehab a whopping FIVE times and she's fresh off probation for her theft charge. A judge warned Lohan to act in a "mature" manner or she'd find herself in trouble again ...

So what gives? Her dad says she's not drinking and police didn't even test her blood alcohol level even though she allegedly hit a guy with her car at 2:30 in the morning and fled the scene?

Drew Barrymore isn't due for another month or so, but the 37-year-old actress is quite eager to start a family with hubby Will Kopelman!

"I can't wait until I have my children," the pregnant star tells the new issue of Haute Living. "I love the idea that they don't have to do something that they have no interest in, that they can do something completely opposite if they want to. I will be so surprised if they don't want to do something involving food or wine or art, but I'll be OK with it. I just want to build fun, great things for my family."

Barrymore continues, "I want to do it all. I love film, but I also love wine, food and traveling. I would love to be a travel writer. I'd be so stoked." The starlet launched her own Pinot Grigio in 2011, and she even won a gold medal for her wine at the Le Challenge International du Vin in France. "I love wine ... I think it's nice to do what you really love in life, occupationally and recreationally," she says. "Right now, I'm getting to do the things I love and I'm so, so happy about it." BTW, we're guessing/hoping the above shot of her with the wine glass is either archive or staged...

Barrymore and Kopelman wed on June 2 at her Montecito estate and this will be their first child.

Lindsay Lohan "smelled like alcohol real bad" after reportedly striking a pedestrian in NYC ... and this is according to the victim, Jose Rodriguez.

Rodriguez, a Manhattan chef, tells the New York Daily News that Lilo was also slurring her words when she struck him with her Porsche in front of NYC's Dream hotel just after midnight.

The victim adds, "[I] saw this car come real quick and hit me. I was in so much pain ... I fell to the side."

After leaving the hotel at around 2:30am, Lohan was arrested for leaving the scene.

The Liz & Dick actress was not given a breathalyzer test.

Rodriguez was transported to Bellevue Hospital where he was treated for torn tendons. Lindsay denies the entire incident.

Lindsay Lohan is looking gorgeous as Elizabeth Taylor in the new poster for Lifetime's upcoming Liz & Dick.

While retail and pet care are two totally different things, let's keep in mind that Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's youngest daughter is likely looking for an entry level job, and since she loves animals and clothes, she'd probably be pretty good at either gig! Tallulah was later seen hanging out with her boyfriend and her dog, and after that we snapped the young starlet gassing up at a local pump. See, she's just a normal teenage girl!

While it may seem odd that Tallulah isn't relying on mom and dad's money (after all, both of her parents are worth a combined total of around $300 million), big sis Rumer did the same thing after dropping out of USC, opting to work at the Marc Jacobs boutique in Beverly Hills in 2007. In a 2009 interview, Rumer told the Daily Mail, "I was not one of those girls who was given a Lexus to drive at 16; I had a Subaru Outback and had to earn it. [When working at Marc Jacobs], I didn't get special treatment. I was on the shop floor selling clothes and if a customer wanted to try on half the store and then decided not to buy anything, I'd have to pick everything up and put it back on the hangers."

Rumer added, "I think getting a job is important for children growing up in LA, because otherwise you might fall into the trap of thinking everything comes for free. Then you have the harsh realisation when you become an adult that it’s not the case."

Lohan was arrested early Wednesday morning after leaving the scene of an accident in which she hit a pedestrian with her Porsche Cayenne.

The Canyons star bumped into an unidentified man, hitting him in the knee around 2am. One of Lindsay's friends got out of the car -- just in front of the Dream Hotel in the Meatpacking District -- to check for damage and when they realized the car was cool, they took off.

About 30 minutes later, Lindsay and crew re-emerged from the Dream Hotel (where she tends to stay when she's in New York because she's pals with owner Vikram Chatwal), and was arrested on a misdemeanor charge. Lohan was released without bail. The victim of Lindsay's hit-and-run reportedly checked into a nearby hospital but had no visible injuries.

Lindsay was released from probation stemming from her theft charges in March, when Judge Stephanie Sautner told the actress in court: "You need to live your life in a more mature way." Hmmm .... hit-and-run? Mature?

I guess that answers our question as to whether Miley Cyrus is bothered by the fact that beau Liam Hemsworth smokes in her car!

Yesterday Miley was snapped dropping Liam off at the airport, and the 19-year-old starlet was seen puffing away on a cigarette as she rolled up in her dark Mercedes SUV. While we get that she's going through a rebellious phase, we have to wonder if this is going to affect her voice -- after all, she's currently working on her upcoming (and highly anticipated) fourth studio album.
