Lauren Conrad indulged in some retail therapy in Santa Monica yesterday, and the reality star looks like she did some damage based on the number of shopping bags she was carrying! The MTV darling looked California chic in white skinny jeans, a denim button down, and Ray Ban aviators as she lugged her purchases to the car.

The 26-year-old Laguna Beach native recently opened up about her painful breakup with boyfriend of three years Kyle Howard. Both parties stayed mum on the split after they called it quits in June 2011, but now the blonde beauty is offering some advice to her fans who are at the same point in their lives.

"One thing to keep in mind while you are attending weddings, showers and other events celebrating your friends' relationships is that these aren't things you are missing out on. They are things you have to look forward to. I was in a similar place last year. Twenty-five, newly single and helping one of my best friends plan her wedding, so I know how it can feel," she explained of her mixed emotions being mid-20's and unattached.

LC is now happily dating USC law student William Tell after being set up with him by pals on Valentine's Day.

"It can be hard to feel like you have to start from scratch when you have invested so much time with a person, but shortly after my break up I realized something: I wasn't losing the chance to have love - I was getting the opportunity to do it all over again," she added.

It's Pepsi v. Coke!

Nicki Minaj is close to finalizing her contract to becoming a judge on American Idol, but her deal with Pepsi is holding things up! The soda brand sponsors her tour, but American Idol is sponsored by Coca-Cola, so execs for the singing competition are furiously trying to figure out how to remedy the situation, as sources reveal they are eager to announce the Pink Friday singer's new gig before auditions begin in the next week or two.

Assuming they hammer out negotiations, Minaj will join already confirmed judge Mariah Carey on the hit show, which will undoubtedly lend itself to some diva drama that the head hauncho's hope will bring in the ratings.

Both Keith Urban and Brad Paisley are also in talks to join the judging panel, but those reports have yet to be confirmed. Execs had hoped for Enrique Iglesias, but sources tell the New York Post that the Latin superstar wasn't thrilled about being on a show that would draw more public attention to his personal life.

This season should be interesting!

Clint Eastwood hit the stage at the Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida in support of Mitt Romney.

While speaking, the 82-year-old actor addressed an "invisible" President Barack Obama. Eastwood said:

"I've got Mr. Obama sitting here. I was going to ask him a couple of questions ... It may be time for someone else to come along and solve the problem. I think if you just step aside and Mr. Romney can kind of take over. You can maybe still use a plane."

The Dirty Harry actor then pretended to speak more with President Obama. Eastwood added, "What do you want me to tell Romney? I can't tell him to do that to himself . . . you're getting as bad as Biden."

President Obama responded by Tweeting the below photo along with the following caption: "This chair is taken."

Britney Spears has a body that just won't quit! The 30-year-old mama of two showed off her bikini bod while striking a pose at her LA estate.

Along with the photo, Brit Tweeted: "Having some fun in the sun. Don't want summer to be over!"

The engaged songstress will soon be heard on an upcoming will.i.am track. The Black Eyed Peas singer Tweeted that he's "still putting the finishing touches" on the song. He added, "Britney's part is dope."

Britney's X Factor will premiere on September 12.

LeAnn Rimes has filed a lawsuit at the L.A. County Superior Court claiming two women, Kimberly Smiley and Lexi Smiley, secretly recorded a private conversation, and as a result, spread excerpts of that phone conversation across the internet.

In the lawsuit, claiming invasion of privacy, it states the following:

"With neither Ms. Rimes's knowledge nor consent, defendants secretly made a recording of a private telephone conversation with Ms. Rimes. They then conspired to spitefully ensure that out-of-context excerpts of that recording would be disseminated to the public on various websites and referenced in several online articles in an effort to portray Ms. Rimes in an egregriously false and negative light and cause her emotional distress."

According to court papers, the phone call took place this past Spring. During the conversation, Rimes was attempting to stop the ladies from continuing with negative activity by telling them she wanted peace.

However, the suit adds that by releasing excerpts from the conversation, the women were painting the country singer in a "false and negative light" ... calling her "crazy and delusional."

Katie Holmes took Suri to check out the basketball court at Chelsea Piers today in NYC. The 6-year-old already takes gymnastics lessons at the Piers; could she be signing up for hoops as well?!

It was recently reported that in her parents' divorce, little Miss Cruise will inherit a sizable trust fund, some of which she'll have access to when she turns 18. It's "sizable," according to a source, so she "won't be able to fully legally claim it until she is in her 30s," reports claim.

Katie's supposedly getting $40,000/month in child support -- part of which will pay her $40,000/year school tuition. We're getting the rest will go toward cute dresses and kiddie heels :)

Tori Spelling gave birth to her fourth child Thursday evening -- a baby boy, Finn Davey McDermott.

The 39-year-old actress/writer/reality star wrote on her website: "We are so excited to announce the birth of the newest member of the McDermott family! Please join us in welcoming Finn Davey McDermott." The baby was born at 5:39 pm and weighed in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces.

He joins siblings Liam, 5, Stella, 4, and Hattie, 10 months (McDermott also has a son, Jack, from a previous marriage.)
