Kate Hudson's 8-year-old son Ryder hit the Santa Monica Pier with dad Chris Robinson, stepmom Allison Bridges and little sister Cheyenne Genevieve ... and the little boy was showing off some temporary ink on his arm and behind his ear.

We have a feeling Ryder will be going a bit more permanent when he gets older. Like father, like son!

The claws are out!

Real Housewives of Orange County co-stars Alexis Bellino and Tamra Barney have been enemies all season, but a comment made at the reunion show has turned their feud into an all-out war!

After Barney called Bellino 'Jesus Jugs,' the devout Christian and her husband Jim are considering legal action against the reality star, not solely because of the comment, but because of supposed slanderous remarks that were made throughout the season.

"The escalation of Tamra Barney's attacks has reached the level that we have been advised to take legal action. To be clear, Tamra's most recent statements are completely false. While her motivation may be to elevate herself by hurting others, the law does provide boundaries outside of which even she may be held liable. This vicious and malicious attack on our family will no longer be tolerated. We have continually tried to take the high road, however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of the law," the couple explained in a joint statement issued Monday.

Barney fired back, telling Rumor Fix why she made the hurtful comment in the first place. "Unlike Alexis, I don't need to hide behind the Jesus curtain and I don't feel the need to preach. When someone is constantly preaching about something they are lying! Alexis and Jim are faux Christians, like her ring. Does she think Jesus would be proud of her for judging me as a Christian, and the crosses in my house? Jim Bellino used to take Peggy Tanous to strip clubs after church when they were dating," she sniped.

Miss Barney is known for never backing down from a fight, so we'll just have to wait and see if her religious reality vixen rival will put her money where her mouth is!

The rocket man has another one on the way!

Elton John and his longtime partner David Furnish are expecting a sibling for their son Zachary, The Daily reports.

The couple welcomed their first child via surrogate in 2010, and the same surrogate is now in her first trimester of pregnancy with their second child. Interestingly, the unidentified woman, who was found through the Center for Surrogate Parenting in Encino, also carried Kelsey and Camille Grammer's two children.

"I'd love to have more children. I want [Zachary] to have a brother or a sister to go to school with him, and so that he can have someone to play with. It's going to be heartbreaking for him to grow up and realize he hasn't got a mummy. But he's so happy. I've never seen a more contented child. And you have never seen two more contented people as David and I," the Grammy winner revealed of his motivation to add to his family.

This doesn't look like the face of someone under the weather!

After it was reported last week that Tara Reid had been hospitalized with acute pancreatitis while on vacation in St. Tropez, the American Reunion actress took to her Twitter to debunk the rumors and show the world she's happy, healthy, and soaking up the sun in the lap of luxury!

While the blonde beauty admits she went to the hospital, she insists it was more for vacation-related reasons! "Everyone these stories I'm reading about myself are not true I got hurt on a jetski and went to the hospital to get x ray and I'm fine," she wrote to her fans.

A water sport accident wasn't the only thing that troubled our favorite party girl, however! She must have had some bad shellfish, because she added, "Don't worry everyone I'm all good and healthy I got food poisoning and hurt my back on the jetski but I'm all better thanks for caring."

From the ER to the open seas! Life's a beach for Ms. Reid!

Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Simon Cowell, and L.A. Reid pose together in the latest promo pics for The X Factor, and just yesterday the judges sat down at the Fox 2012 Summer TCA Tour to chat about what it's like working with one another.

“She’s a really, really good judge,” Simon said of Britney. “[She's] quite mean, as you’ll discover." Of course, Demi defended her co-worker, telling the audience, “She’s a sweetheart, who’s very honest." Simon's retort? "As sweet as a lemon!"

Simon added, “Demi is a brat, but there’s something very likable about her as well.” He noted that the 19-year-old pop star is good for the panel because they needed, “somebody a bit younger, because I’m in my 30s.” (For the record, Simon is 52!)

One reporter asked Demi what she brings to the table as a judge, and she replied, “I think that the expertise that I’m able to contribute is I’m listening to the radio right now and I know a lot of what my friends like, and we’re in our early 20s and late teens,” she said. “I think we know what is needed in this industry and what is missing."

So how did Britney land the gig, which earns her $15 million per season? “Actually, my makeup artist was the makeup artist for Simon,” she said. “We just all met up and it made sense. I adore Simon and it was something I really wanted to do."

Simon also revealed that there will be not one but two hosts next season, and they will be announced next month.

J.Lo isn't the only one who can rake in the big bucks!

A day after it was announced Mariah Carey will be a new judge on American Idol, online reports are circulating that the Grammy winner is set to make a whopping $18 million paycheck!

The pop singer's salary makes her the highest paid judge on any competition show. Jennifer Lopez only pulled in an estimated $12 million for her judging duties on Idol, while The Voice plunked down an estimated $10 for Christina Aguilera's mentoring.

Closest to Mimi's salary is Britney Spears, who will make approximately $16 million for her spot on the X-Factor.

Miss Carey is already looking forward to her new gig! "As a singer, songwriter and producer, it's going to be fun and rewarding to help find new talent and give back to American Idol," she said in a statement confirming the much speculated news.

This diva doesn't come cheap!

Tom Cruise is reportedly searching for a luxury home in New York so he can spend more time with his 6-year-old daughter Suri.

After Katie Holmes filed for divorce on June 28, the two reached a settlement earlier this month, and they also worked out a custody agreement which gives Katie primary physical custody with Tom being granted "generous visitation rights." Katie recently started renting an apartment in NYC where she plans to raise Suri, and in addition to his new east coast pad, Tom will keep the former couple's home in Beverly Hills.

A source told the New York Post, "Tom's looking for a new home here. He wants a fresh start. He doesn't want to go back to the East Village apartment where he was living with Katie. He's looking for something that's very private where he won't have to deal with going through a lobby, and people outside all the time."

The 50-year-old actor reportedly told friends his main concern is having enough space for Suri to play in. One friend added, "He also wants to have a nice amount of space for Suri, with outdoor space. That could mean high-end luxury apartments, but he's also looking at houses outside of the city or in gated communities."

After wrapping up filming on Oblivion in Iceland on July 3, Cruise flew to Los Angeles, and last week he traveled to NYC to spend a few days with Suri. On Sunday he jetted to London to prepare for his next film, All You Need Is Kill, so we're not sure when he's going to have time to look at properties!
