By now the world knows Katie Holmes is divorcing Tom Cruise, but was she dropping hints about an impeding split months in advance?

In an new interview with Elle magazine for their August issue, it appears so! The Q&A was conducted six weeks before the actress filed papers to end her 5-year-marriage, and some of her quotes are quite telling.

When asked about her superstar husband, the 33-year-old was cryptic, saying, "He has been Tom Cruise for 30 years. I know who I am and where I am and where I want to go, so I want to focus on that."

An accomplished actress in her own right, the brunette beauty doesn't believe that being the wife of the world's biggest action star has as many perks as one would think. "Things are not handed to anyone. If anything, you work a little bit harder when you're in such visible circumstances," she explained.

So what's the biggest difference between her twenties and thirties?

"It's like you're trying too hard to figure everything out [in your 20's.] I definitely feel much more comfortable in my own skin. I feel sexier. I'm starting to come into my own. It's like a new phase," she says.

Miss Holmes sounds like she's ready to step out of her estranged husband's shadow and be an independent woman!

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky were spotted with their adorable daughter India Rose in Madrid, Spain on Wednesday, and after some shopping and sight seeing, the trio lunched with Elsa's mom, Cristina Medianu.

Chris, who is best known for his role as Thor in The Avengers, cradled their two-month-old girl in his massive arms, and it looks like the 28-year-old actor has taken quite well to fatherhood! Chris recently said in an interview with Us Weekly, "She's been great. She sleeps very well. Not out of any skill on my behalf, but my wife has been amazing." Being a dad has "certainly taken all my focus and attention away from work," he added, "but that's the main thing on my brain right now. It's wonderful."

Looks like she's in good hands!

Katie Holmes reportedly stated in her divorce filings from Tom Cruise that she doesn’t want their daughter Suri raised as a Scientologist, and now several individuals connected with the church have spoken out about her situation.

Katie is seeking sole custody of Suri, and while this isn't surprising, it is interesting to note that this is a dramatically different approach from Nicole Kidman, who divorced Cruise in 2001 and effectively lost custody of their two adopted children. Kidman has said it was the kids’ decision to stay with their father, but she has never explained why and it certainly raised some eyebrows.

THR notes that Holmes' tenacity could stem from the fact that many of the high-ranking Scientologists who worked closely with Cruise and chairman David Miscavige over the years have left the church, and "a number of them are now actively working against Miscavige and Cruise by spilling church secrets." Amy Scobee, a former Scientologist whose family helped manage the Celebrity Centres, tells THR, "They don’t have the resources or the people to help them attack the way they used to because so many key people have blown ... The people Miscavige needs to help him with the Tom and Katie mess are now on the outside working against them."

Jenna Miscavige Hill, David Miscavige's niece, who left the church in 2005, issued a statement on Tuesday showing her support for Holmes and her six-year-old daughter, stating:

"My experience in growing up in Scientology is that it is both mentally and at times physically abusive," Jenna said. "I was allowed to see my parents only once a week at best -- sometimes not for years. We got a lousy education from unqualified teachers, forced labor, long hours, forced confessions, being held in rooms, not to mention the mental anguish of trying to figure out all of the conflicting information they force upon you as a young child. ... As a mother myself, I offer my support to Katie and wish for her all the strength she will need to do what is best for her and her daughter."

Holmes has hired two high-profile divorce attorneys, and Karen De La Carriere, a former Scientologist who was once married to Heber Jentzsch, Scientology's longtime president, commented, "By filing for sole custody of Suri, she’s making it very clear she’s not going to let what happened with Nicole Kidman happen to her."

After taking a year off following the birth of her daughter Willow, the singer has announced her new album, called The Truth About Love, will be released on Sept. 18.

Clad in a see thru white shirt with taped black X marks over her nipples, the edgy rocker hams it up for the cameras as she delivers the good news to her legions of fans. Back to her signature color coif, the 32-year-old is also back to her pre-pregnancy body and ready for the world to hear her sixth studio album.

We wonder if there will be any lullaby tracks in honor of her little girl?!
