Nicole Richie is in for a surprise when she gets back from NYC!

Joel Madden was snapped leaving the Andy Lecompte salon yesterday with a brand new 'do ... and we're not sure how we feel about it, but at least he color coordinated with a pink tee! And hey, we're getting a good view of his tattoos, so no complaints here!

Nicole's new show premiered last night, and Joel tweeted, "Fashion Star was great tonight. I'm very proud of Nicole. She looked hot. :)" Awww, what a sweetie!

...but we all know that underneath the baggy sweater and boyfriend jeans lies an exquisite size 2 physique!

Jennifer Love Hewitt was snapped on the set of her latest project, The Client List, and based on what she was wearing, it doesn't appear as though she was ready to film a sex scene. J. Love plays a mom who ends up taking her job as a masseuse in a whole different direction when she begins offering sexual services to her customers, and the 33-year-old actress has received some bad press for her new gig.

Jennifer said of the criticism, "I feel badly that they feel offended, but I respect that people need to say what they need to say. I tried to make a joke on Twitter that I wondered why people were not writing to Dexter about killing people, or to Nurse Jackie about taking drugs on the job. Those are big, big television characters audiences love and adore so if there can be a serial killer we all like, I feel like a happy-endings specialist is the least of our worries." She's got a point!

Mischa Barton may not have had any high-paying acting gigs over the past few months, but it looks like she's doing just fine financially!

Mischa and a blonde gal pal were spotted at the bank in Los Angeles yesterday, and after visiting the teller, the actress handed over a wad of hundreds to her friend, who appeared quite distressed. Not only that, but she gave her a very sincere embrace before the ladies left the ATM. Aww, what a great friend!

Although Peter Facinelli and Jennie Garth announced they were ending their marriage of 11 years, both stars want to make it clear that neither of them cheated.

The twosome released the following statement:

“There are rumors out there which are completely untrue and hurtful to our family. We just want to make it very clear – there are no third parties involved."

A few hours after announcing the split, the 38-year-old Twilight star was seen on his motorcycle not wearing his wedding ring.

The couple are parents to daughters Luca, 14, Lola, 9 and Fiona, 5.

Kat Von D hit the pavement to go shopping in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, and all we have to say is ... thank goodness!

Darren Criss has declined an offer to host The X Factor, according to E! Online.

A show insider tells the site:

“They were after him. But there’s no way he could have done it with everything he has going on.”

The 25-year-old Glee star would have replaced Steve Jones, who was fired after the show's first season.

Criss' rep has yet to issue a statement.

As for the judging spots, The X Factor producers are close to nabbing pop star Britney Spears. She was offered $10 million for the spot, however she is reportedly demanding $20 million. Also being considered ... country cutie LeAnn Rimes.

It was announced Tuesday the Panic Room star signed with UTA management agency for directing, but will remain with longtime home ICM for acting. Her last directorial effort, The Beaver, was panned by critics.... but maybe she didn't listen to the criticism!
