Sean Penn was officially made an ambassador at large for Haiti at the Cinema for Peace benefit on Saturday night, which benefited the Oscar winner's J/P Haitian Relief Organization.
The event raised $5 million, and stars like Demi Moore, Melanie Griffith, George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Orlando Bloom, Mel Gibson, James Gandolfini and Hilary Swank attended and made generous donations.
During the fundraiser, Penn was offered the job by Haitian foreign minister Laurent Lamothe, and Penn gladly accepted, adding that it would be a nice "change being called 'Hey you [expletive]' to 'Hey Mr. Ambassador.'"

Beyonce's latest promotional ad for her fourth album 4 is ruffling feathers. The photo, which was shot before the singer was sporting a baby bump, shows Beyonce looking a few shades lighter than her actual skin tone.
The 30-year-old songstress, wearing a blonde wig and black crochet monokini, raised eyebrows back in August of 2008 after appearing in a L'Oreal ad with digitally altered lighter skin.
What are your thoughts of the ad?

Adam Levine was looking oh-so-dapper while presenting at last night's Golden Globes, but the Maroon 5 singer kept it simple in a white tee shirt and jeans at his Las Vegas performance Saturday at The Mirage's 1 Oak. We prefer him this way!
The Voice mentor hit the stage to perform "Moves Like Jagger" and "Stereo Hearts." We're told girls rushed the stage hoping to touch the tatted up hottie, but they had no luck.
After rocking the mic, Levine then hit the VIP lounge with some buddies. Where was his model girlfriend Anne Vyalitsina? Perhaps the Victoria's Secret beauty was waiting back at the hotel in some sexy lingerie.
Jackpot!

On Saturday Russell Brand returned to Los Angeles after spending two weeks in London, and on Sunday we spotted the British comedian lunching at the 9200 Sunset building in West Hollywood.
Russell is currently busy promoting his new FX series, Strangely Uplifting, and later in the day he attended the TCA panel in Pasadena to chat about it. During the Q&A session, one reporter asked how he was holding up, to which he responded, "I'm quite well, thank you. Are you asking because of recent events?" Brand chuckled and added, "Well, I suppose what you're doing is you're making the mistake as seeing time as linear."
Brand then discussed his project, without making another mention of his split from wife Katy Perry. "All I want is for people to feel better than they do now. That's all I want," he told the press. "All I want is to make people laugh and to make people happy. And as long as I stay in alignment with that, then I'm served by great forces."
Brand noted that he's often misunderstood in the press, but he knows to watch himself. "I listen to others. I accept that you must be humble," he said solemnly. "It's very important to have humility ... I have a tendency to fly off. I'm tangential and also I'm narcissistic. I have to be very careful."

..and she proved it with her latest tattoo. This is the fifth one and we're lovin' it!
The 29-year-old country songstress hit up Shamrock Tattoo in LA over the weekend and had artist Mark Mahoney tattoo the saying "the only one that matters" on her right foot.
When asked about the phrase, LeAnn explains:
"I'm addicted to words & sayings that mean something special to me. Eddie said to me "You're the only one that matters. It was sweet."

From Charlize Theron to Gerard Butler (and a woman who was probably not his date), everyone came out to party it up last night after the 69th Annual Golden Globe Awards.
Stars spotted at the Sunset Tower hotel were Leonardo DiCaprio, Jessica Alba and Michelle Williams, and earlier in the evening, Alba tweeted the picture below and wrote, "Whattup! #GoldenGlobes hot Fire Marshall's." Ahh, she may not know when to use apostrophes (or how to spell), but she certainly is a hottie!

Ricky Gervais has hosted the Golden Globes three times, and at last night's ceremony, the British comedian wasn't afraid to poke fun at certain celebrities during his opening monologue.
Right off the bat, Gervais told the crowd:
"For any of you who don't know, the Golden Globes are just like the Oscars, but without all that esteem. The Golden Globes are to the Oscars what Kim Kardashian is to Kate Middleton. A bit louder, a bit trashier, a bit drunker, and more easily bought. Allegedly. Nothing's been proved."
Gervais then took a swipe at Eddie Murphy ... who had pulled out of hosting the Oscars. He went on to say:
"But who needs the Oscars? Not me. And not Eddie Murphy. He walked out on them, and good for him. But when the man who said yes to Norbit says no to you, you know you're in trouble. I love Eddie Murphy. He loves dressing up, doesn't he. Versatile. He's versatile. No, he is."
As for the Hollywood Foreign Press inviting him back to host, he said:
"They actually gave me a list of rules. I'm going to ignore them, but I thought it would be good to read them out. This is real, ok? No profanity. That's fine. I've got a huge vocabulary. No nudity. See, that's a shame. Because I've got a huge ... vocabulary. But a tiny penis. No, no. Doesn't matter. It works. Don't worry about it. It's fine. And I'm not to libel anyone. And I must not mention Mel Gibson this year. Not his private life, his politics, his recent films, and especially not Jodie Foster's Beaver."
Oh, Ricky.
