Melanie Amaro of Sunrise Florida was crowned the very first winner of X Factor US, beating out 30-year-old singer Josh Krajcik of Wooster, Ohio.

The 19-year-old couldn't hold back tears as her name was announced -- she also landed a $5 million recording contract and a starring role in a Pepsi commercial!

Amaro was too choked up to give a thank you speech after her win, so Simon Cowell spoke for her, saying: "I want to say, America, thank you for giving this girl an opportunity."

The new winner then struggled through tears to cover Beyonce's hit, "Listen," and thanked fans for their support, gushing: "Thank you so much! OMG, I don't know what even to say... God is good... Thank you America!"

But while Amaro cried tears of joy on stage, there was some major drama behind the scenes! Two crew members sustained head injuries, and another was hit in the elbow, as a stair riser came unhinged just before rapper 50 Cent took the stage.

Paramedics rushed to the scene within minutes, and all three were taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center to receive treatment for their injuries.

Upon leaving the studio for the hospital, one of the injured crew members expressed: "I'm fine! ... on the f--king last night of the show!"

Owen Wilson split from girlfriend and mother of his baby Jade Duell in June, and already, the Zoolander actor is playing the field ... and doing quite well with the ladies in St. Barths.

The 42-year-old actor, who dated Kate Hudson in the past, was reportedly bar hopping for eight hours before ending up at the Yacht Club. Earlier in the day, Wilson showed off his bare chest while frolicking in the ocean.

Great to see Owen smiling these days. Back in 2007, the actor was hospitalized after reportedly taking pills and slashing his wrists. Looks like he's come a long way.

Gwen and Gavin took a break from the holiday shopping to treat their boys, Kingston, 5, and Zuma, 3, to a movie at the ArcLight theater in Sherman Oaks on Thursday night -- with nanny in tow.

While it's been mostly sunny and warm in LA, fashion-forward Kingston dressed for the season in a faux fur hat and down jacket, while little bro Zuma donned a teddy bear hoodie and Monster Uggs -- fellow fashionista Suri Cruise wore a similar pair last weekend.

The No Doubt singer recently launched Harajuku Mini for Target, and the designer admits she drew inspiration from her two stylish sons, who also modeled for the kid's line. When it comes to the Stefani-Rossdale family, fashion's in the genes!

Toting one of her many fabulous Chanel bags, Hil caused such a paparazzi frenzy outside of a West Hollywood hair salon Thursday that she required a police escort to help her to her Mercedes!

After getting her hair did, the glowing mommy-to-be decided to recruit her sister's artistic skills, and her baby bump, to create this year's family Christmas card.

Duff Tweeted Thursday night, "Happy holidays from the three of us!! @HaylieK what would I do without you and your artistic ways!"

The Wedding Crashers cutie converted to hubby Sacha Baron Cohen's faith before they tied the knot in a traditional Jewish ceremony last March. The wedding was delayed to give Fisher time to complete her studies and to convert to Judaism.

After she converted, the actress took the Hebrew name Ayala, meaning "Doe."

Alba opted to leave the kids at home for the day, but she recently told Access Hollywood that it’s hard to be separated from her girls for too long. “Every time I leave the house it is difficult,” she confessed. “It’s always like I want to be back and I want to cuddle." How cute!

Yesterday we spotted a bundled up Paris and Nicky Hilton (and their little brother Barron!) shopping in Aspen, and after that the group spent some quality time on the slopes. Paris later tweeted, "Just finished an amazing deep tissue massage. Feel's so good to get a great massage after skiing all day. #YES!"
